Hi, I’m turning 30 next year and looking for somewhere internationally to visit with a large lively group. Below are a few wants/comments:

1. I’m in Chicago so would love somewhere warm and with a beach
2. I originally wanted to do St. Marteen, but Airbnbs are only allowing a 5 night stay, instead of 4. I’ve visited during Covid and loved it, frankly I’ve been to a lot of islands and it’s been my favorite because of how lively it is. We’d like to bar hop, have excursions, huge night life, basically lots of options to keep us busy.
3. It’ll be a group of 20+.
4. I don’t want to go to Mexico, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, or Dr because I’ve been to all plenty of times.
5. Somewhere not too touristy
6. Also considered Columbia if anyone has comments?
7. Not looking to stay on a resort but instead rent a house

I’m helping my mother in law plan her 50th birthday and we settled on Punta Cana. We’re aiming to go in February 2027. It’ll be a group of around 10 people, most of the group hasn’t traveled out of country. It’ll be a mix of 30-55 year olds not really couples. She wants something nice like top shelf liquor, adults only, great spa, lots of activities, and beach access. She doesn’t want to leave the resort if she doesn’t have to. She also wants to make sure there’s night time entertainment to some extent. Right now we’re looking at Excellence el Carmen or the W but open to any suggestions! I keep seeing the excellence is boring and the w has mixed reviews?
