Is this shirt design AI?

I took a trip to Oregon recently with my partner, and we hiked Multnomah Falls while we were there. We got a couple of souvenirs, but I didn’t get a shirt like I initially intended, so I’ve been looking on Etsy since coming back. I came across this one, but something just feels…off to me with this design. This looks like it could be AI, but sometimes with shirts designs, it’s hard for me to tell. I appreciate any help/feedback and even other recommendations for shirts!

We love book mail day!

Aardvark Book Club came through with a great horror pick as always 👏🏻 In She’s a Doll, Lucy is murdered by her friend’s brother, and in her dying rage, she attaches her spirit to a porcelain doll with the intent to exact revenge on him. Sounds like my kind of weird girl book!

We love book mail day!

I had to limit myself to one book this month, because I was collecting books faster than I can read them 😂 Excited for She’s A Doll! What book(s) did you pick this month?

Women in Translation Month

Kicking off Women in Translation Month with Colony by Annika Norlin! A woman named Emilie is feeling burnt out at her job, and decides to spend a few days in the Swedish countryside for a quick reprieve. She stumbles upon a mysterious group of seven people living in an off-grid commune, and becomes fascinated in learning more about them. One thing about me: I’ll read any book about a weird cult 🤌🏻

What did I just read

I have both the heebies and the jeebies after finishing Wolf Worm. If you have a morbid curiosity for parasitic insects, then this boom is for you!

Wolf Worm

A trip to my favorite indie bookstore this weekend ended with a new horror book + another sticker for the collection. Started Wolf Worm today, and already feeling all the creepy crawlies! 🪱🦟 Did anyone else get to treat themselves to some new bookish goodies this weekend?

Muñeca

I’ve been in the mood for some spooky Summerween reads, and I just got Muñeca by Cynthia Goméz for a good deal on PangoBooks. So excited to start this one! It’s a Gothic horror story about a queer Latine witch. Has anyone read it yet?

A Good Person by Kirsten King

This was so hard to put down. A perfect read for thriller fans and lit-fic fans alike. The in-depth characterization was superb, and the murder mystery element really drove the plot.
Lillian is a good person, or at least she thinks she is. Okay, so there was ONE time where she pushed a classmate into a gorilla pen at the zoo, but only because she was bullying Lillian on the bus. She just wanted to scare her a little. In adulthood, we follow Lillian as she makes one bad decision after the next. Latching onto a man who is very obviously not into her (and is also morally ambiguous), struggling with a drinking problem (even drinking on the job), constantly lying, and is so self-absorbed. She’s such a complex and unlikeable narrator, but Kirsten King writes her in a way that had me completely rapt, eager to see what unhinged thing she would do next.

Her and Henry (her sort-of boyfriend) have a falling out, and he ultimately breaks things off. Lillian decides that the only appropriate response is to exact revenge by putting a hex on him. Not thinking anything of it, she wakes up the next day to discover that he actually died. But she doesn’t really believe in the power of magical thinking, and knows she wouldn’t be capable of murder. But what actually happened to him?

Addictive, campy, and deeply unhinged, A Good Person is one of those debuts you won’t want to miss. Pick this up if you enjoyed Big Swiss or love the writing style of Anna Dorn.
