Olivia Rodrigo is the biggest bitch in the music industry

Got rejected from r/unpopularopinion so I decided to find other subreddits to post this in.

Yes I'm going to be harsh and piss off a lot of Olivia fans come fight me all you want but I'm sorry this bitch just really annoys me. I'm sure she has a good heart judging from her interviews and she's definitely no Kanye, Lizzo or Azealia Banks or whatever but I don't see how she's the angel everyone makes her out to be and I'm going to judge her as an artist.

I am a fan of especially 2000s pop music so I heard a lot of young and teenage artist and yes sure they had their annoying songs especially Avril Lavigne but god Olivia Rodrigo is just so angsty she could give Shadow or even Taylor Swift and Avril Lavigne a run for their money.

Most of her songs on her Sour album and even some of her newer songs are about how "toxic" her ex was and how he made her feel bad because he's happy with some other girl or some shit. Or just angry or crying about some other shit like not having a teenage dream or girls being prettier than she is. Like this bitch needs to shut tf up. Nobody cares about your fucking cringey depression ass diary.

Also she cries in bathrooms like how do you cry in a bathroom of your house when you have your own bedroom? And apparently she spent the night crying implying she cried herself to sleep. Must be so uncomfortable and sad to sleep in a bathroom. Also she also cries in pillows according to a cut song nobody cares about the details of how or where you cry fucking "with my head in my hands I sit and cryyyyyy" ass.

Even artists who write more emotional songs like Keyshia Cole, Halysey, Billie Eillish, Lorde, Fiona Apple, Taylor Swift, Lana Del Ray aren't usually that whiny.

Also I just don't feel like she's really grown as much musically or emotionally.

She whines about how her ex should've loved her less so that letting go wouldn't hurt as much. Or calling songs stupid because they quote unquote don't show love enough. Or about some girl quote unquote getting in the way of her. Or about how her partner doesn't give her needy ass enough attention (similar to I can't Wait to fall in love again).

I get that some people never grow out of their teenage angst but doggone man. At least show SOME perspective taking and respect for your ex/current boyfriends? Don't just write songs humiliating them just because they accidentally hurt your little feelings when they may not even deserve it (idk the lyrics are usually vague).

Also idk they just sound repetitive. Like she's mostly just singing about bad breakups and toxic relationships and rarely sings about anything else. Even in her newest album most of her songs are about how good a relationship feels and how "toxic" an ex is and how she learns to accept letting go of the relationship just like Sour. At least the other artists usually are more versatile. Even Keyshia Cole who mostly sings about betrayals and breakups have some freshness in them? Like how she sings about how a friend betrayed her by stealing her boyfriend from her, how she should've cheated after being accused of cheating, how her partner doesn't give her love because he's too wrapped up in another partner, how prideful she is, how she's falling out of love with her toxic partner, remembering a bad relationship. I would say Guts however is the most versatile and maybe self-aware album but even she has some whiny selfish ass songs in there like Love is Embarrassing, Lacy and Get Him Back that remind me of her Sour album.

Say what you want about Jojo Siwa's edgy era, but at least she grew more than Olivia has.

To people who watched shows from the 60s and before with wholesome families, did those characters have flaws? What do you think of characters being more flawed today?

I'm 27 years old but LOVE old stuff. I noticed that those characters would probably be seen as too perfect today compared to now. Sure there were a few brats but what do you think about "perfect" characters in those shows/movies/books then vs the flawed characters now? Were they really perfect?

I miss younger Disney protagonists

And no, I'm not talking about Pixar here, I'm talking Disney Disney. Although, personally I think Elio should've been a little younger (he just gives me vibes of like a 5-7 year old imo) but I digress. Or the shows, where I think this is more common.

So I've been thinking about the trailer for Hexed and I was like "Again? Another high school protagonist?" Like what is the reason for making her a high school protagonist? Does she go through some kind of finding yourself or coming of age arc or something? Because that's what I think of when I think of YA protagonists. The movie seems to be about her going to this magical world and becoming a witch but we already had this with The Owl House. The movie on a whole seems like something that's been done before like when I read the plot I was thinking it was going to be about a weird/neurodivergent kid and their weird/neurodivergent mother with powers connected to their weirdness/neurodivergency which would've been more interesting. But no, it's another magical girl goes to this magical world plot.

I've been noticing that Disney recently rarely makes their protagonists younger than like 14. The last really young protagonist we had was Vanellope and that was in freaking 2012! Did even Strange World have any young kids? Like why can't we have a Disney movie set in middle school (we need more good middle school movies!)? Or maybe about a 5 year old going on an adventure? Or maybe a baby for God's sake! I know writing super young protagonists can be hard but it would be interesting if Disney could do it.

I really miss the Pennys, the Jennys, the Olivias, and the Lilos.

Something extra but I also recently watched a playthrough of this game called Goodnight Universe and how I thought that the teenage daughter could've easily been a preteen. Her being almost college aged does nothing other than to just make her a precocious futaba like character and cause conflict with her parents only for her to say "I want to stay with my parents" and "I don't like boys" like I'm sorry she just comes off to me more like a preteen. I'm not saying no kids don't think that way but she doesn't really go through any sort of coming of age arc or anything. She just learns the cliched plot of appreciating your family.

Same for a movie I watched called Umma. The girl is once again 17 freaking years old (which I'm going to rant about in another post because I hate the freaking number 17 and how almost every teen protagonist is 17!!!). She is living a lonely life with her mother who's projecting her own trauma on her by making them live an Amish life instead of getting fucking therapy and it confuses me how she's not at least depressed or rebelling by like middle school. She really should've been like 10-14 where she starts to rebel against this lifestyle.

Anyway I ranted too much I'm done.

What do you think Michelle would've been like as a teen/adult?

I feel like she would unfortunately become a nightmare.

What do you think? I'm curious? How do you imagine Michelle would turn out?

My reddit comments haven't been showing up

So since yesterday I notice when I look at my account on incongito mode, my comments don't show up on my profile. And I see that my comments say "comment has been removed" for no reason no warning or anything. I figured this out because people told me they couldn't see my comments or that they have been deleted. Sometimes I can post comments but sometimes I can't. What is going on?

These last few days I've realized almost nobody has been replying to my posts. There's very little activity/views on most of them. So I checked my account on incongito mode and it says Nook2Aleta hasn't posted anything. I checked the account on another account and I can see my posts and replies there, but they don't show up when you go to the actual post. What could be happening?
