How long did it take to be diagnosed

34f UK For years now IV had lower spine issues currently waiting for third surgery which will be a fusion. I have constantly always been exhausted and in agony. Recently the past year my knuckles and knees get so so sore.

I know I will get referred to rheumatology but curious how long did it take for everyone and what was the whole process of it like?

My very good friend

He visits me in dreams I wake up feeling sad I can never remember what he says to me. I always remember in my dreams I am overcome with emotions seeing him. He was my first love and we stayed as friends many years as distance and travel was an issue so it was a mutual break up. Can someone please help me to know what it is he wishes me to know or even him being in my dreams.

It is super depressing

Hello all thanks for taking the time to read my little rant. I am 34f and in UK I have suffered lower back issues for well over ten years sciatica and slipped disc in lower spine. Had two surgeries to shave the herniated part of the disc away, pain persists.

I am now on a wait for surgery number 3 to fuse it. It only took two years of constant fighting and absolutely crippling depression. Pain meds don't help and they won't give me anything stronger due to their high addiction. I have also the past year or two started to get pains very bad pains in the knuckles of my hands.

Just feel so depleted having to take alot of pills and have a nap each day to survive and I work part time. Currently trying to get my GP to see to me over pain to see if anything more can be done. Apologies for the long essay it's just been to long and I honestly forget what pain free feels like.

Anyone else ?

34 f UK due to being on pain meds all I do is sleep they do little for the chronic pain just space me out and ruin my memory. Doctor won't put me on anything stronger due to opioids is addictive etc.

Does anyone else have issues constantly wanting/having a sleep? Waiting for fusion in L4/5 my pre op is June 15th so I'm excited after 2 years of dealing with this.

Thanks for reading or giving advice.

AITAH for being so annoyed

So me and my partner live in a small flat us and three other neighbours. The young couple above us have a baby no issues at all. How ever the older lady also upstairs is very annoying.

We have lived here over two years now so they know me and my partner both work. When the two neighbours upstairs always talk very loud on the landing. The older lady cooing over the baby. I understand babies are cute but every noise echoes so very loudly and we can hear everything from inside.

It genuinely triggers me how loud the older lady is it's like it's on purpose but to talk loud for sometimes over an hour rather than go outdoors or inside their flats. The lady is retired and at one point put a note on the communial back door saying to be quiet at night time!

TLDR- lady upstairs talks obnoxiously loud making me feel so so angry, she's aware me and other half both work.

Awaiting my L5 fusion the past few weeks I've had new symptoms. Shooting pains in odd places eg- groin, buttocks.

I also get patches of hot or cold on my legs that's been ongoing.

Does anyone else work with ongoing issues I only do part time the foot drop is so annoying.

I have my pre op in June for my L4/5 tlif surgery. I was wondering those who have had it so you have any advice for afterwards? I already have a grab stick and a rail in bathroom as I am in chronic pain. Any tips for sleeping?
