These are the most down bad pets I’ve ever owned. I got them out of their package and this was them after like three minutes in their enclosure.

Hi there! I’m interested in getting some blue death feigning beetles and I wanted to ask if there’s any store-bought substrate mix that would be appropriate for their first level of substrate?

I’ve read that they should be on a mix of soil with excavator sand/clay on top. Can I use any premixed reptile soil from a pet store for that bottom layer (such as the ones pictured)? Or is it really best to make your own mix?
