Looking for a place to live

I'm a 22-year-old male moving to Tuscaloosa in a couple of weeks to work with the football team, and I'm looking for a place to stay during my time there.

I'll be arriving around July 19, and while I'm not exactly sure how long I'll be staying, I expect to be there until May or June.

I'm hoping to find a room for under $600/month that's furnished. I don't mind having roommates or sharing common areas. I'd also prefer a place within walking distance of the athletics facilities, if possible, but I'm open to other options.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations or information!

Looking got a place to live

Hi everyone! I hope it's okay to post this here.

I'm a 22-year-old male moving to Tuscaloosa in a couple of weeks to work with the football team, and I'm looking for a place to stay during my time there.

I'll be arriving around July 19, and while I'm not exactly sure how long I'll be staying, I expect to be there until May or June.

Also, does anyone know if University Place Apartments on 4th Ave (managed by Delview Properties) offers furnished units?

Thanks in advance for any recommendations or information!

Work experience for law school?

I'm (22 M) planning to apply to law school, but I have been putting it off to gain work experience due to a low GPA (3.05), and I am unsure if that is the right approach.

I graduated in 2025 with a degree in political science. I struggled academically during my first year of college. I graduated high school during COVID and was remote for the entire period, and when I left my hometown of NYC for college it was the first time I had been away from home. I dealt with significant homesickness, depression, and family issues back home that affected my academics early on.

Most of my work experience is in video and technology for football. The reason I worked in football throughout college was because it was a stable part-time job, and it eventually led to opportunities at the Division I and professional level after graduation. Since stepping away from that space, I have gotten a lot of interviews in similar sports roles, but few offers.

More recently, I have been interning for my congressman , using my multilingual skills to assist with constituent services, particularly immigration-related matters. That experience has inspired me to pursue public interest or immigration law.

Since then, I have been actively trying to pivot further into law/public service related work. I have applied to roles with law firms, government agencies, and NGOs, including through the DA’s office in NYC, but I have not received any interview offers.

Now I have been offered a temporary 11-month paid internship with a major collegiate athletic program in a similar role.

My question is whether this type of job would meaningfully help my law school applications, or if I would be better off continuing to focus on government and public service work.
