Went to the doctor’s where they have News 12 on. Even the NEWS can’t even use the World Cup name or logos. They have to call it the “world soccer tournament“. At the same time, I’m checking USPS for a package that’s been stuck for the past few days and look at this shit. Even the USPS can’t even call it the World Cup. This is getting beyond ridiculous now. Fuck this World Cup, Fuck FIFA, and fuck everyone that is giving this bullshit a platform.

So for those that ordered the Indicator UK version of Macabre through DiabolikDVD or other sites in the US and wondered what happened to your orders, apparently Vinegar Syndrome out and out blocked the US import of this movie.
Found out today when I went to combine my orders and was wondering where my Macabre copy was.
We have already seen acts like this from Vinegar before with other retailers about Vinegar threatening to withhold further releases if they carry imports of their titles. But this is beyond.
I have already been slowing down my Vinegar pickups because of this treatment and how their site handles orders, especially waiting months on end for sale items and having priority shipping be locked behind subscriptions and “flash preorders” that don’t save any money versus the sale price.
Me personally, after this incident, I’m never buying another Vinegar Syndrome release and I’m urging retailers to cut them off from their storefronts.
You gotta make money, I get that. But are they really THAT big that you can afford to let them push your around with these anti-consumer tactics of theirs? There’s plenty of bigger fish in the sea out there and we saw what happened with Shout when their screwups got the better of them.
To me, carrying their products after draconian acts like these just encourage them to do it more. A stand has to be made somewhere and the out and out BLOCKING of shipments has to be that hill.

So after hearing the horror stories and everything about GOFO, I got mine this afternoon after being out for delivery this morning. It was “Out For Delivery” at around 7:30am and got here around 3:00pm. Glad it came today because I now have physical therapy for my lower body Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. So gonna do a little at a time until I get to where I need to be.
Starting with the 3DS and GameCube that I have texture packs for. DS as well. I more bought this for being a souped up 2DS so I can use my N3DS sparingly and leave it home.
So, far, I’ve done pretty well on my own with some knowledge I’ve absorbed from various YouTube videos and shorts.
I liken this to building a LEGO set of a few thousand pieces. It’s gonna take time, maybe weeks, if not a couple months. But once it’s fully done and I mean FULLY done, it’s going to be a thing of beauty.
Glad I was able to get the grip as compensation for the DHL difference as honestly, I can’t imagine the Thor without it. I already had bought the case (though I don’t seem to have a lanyard), screen protectors, and the TPU Case.
Was expecting the TPU case to not be so rubbery, but it’ll be in the case, so it’s fine. The screen protectors are okay, though I had to order another one from Amazon as the bottom one wound up having tons of bubbles. It’s working fine for now, but still. Not the best I ever used but not the worst either.
One tip off the bat, if you have issues like I do with the “Something Went Wrong” error when trying to accept Google’s TOS to use their Play Store or the Google Services (like my Drive), I found that restarting the device after initial setup finally allowed it to go through.
Also, the easiest way I found to put texture packs on the Thor is to package them in a zip file with the GameID already done and everything in the right folder, then use the USB cable to transfer them to your Download folder. Then use something like CX File Manager to unzip the folder directly into the appropriate load/textures folder for your console of choice (such as n3ds or gc).
For my setup, I’m trying to have the texture files on my internal storage (since I have the Rainbow Max) and worse come to worse, the roms on my microSD. Right now, everything’s internal and I got plenty of space, but as I go on, I’ll see how that happens.
But, so far so good.
