I reluctantly need to rehome my ball python but I can’t find any sanctuaries near me

I got my boy November, and I knew he had brain dmg but his breeder told me it doesn’t affect him at all. But recently it’s gotten what I think is worse, and with school starting and my surgeries I cannot care for him.

He’s 2-3yrs old and weighs 500grams, and I’ve been having this problem with him striking g and curling around his rat and even dragging it into his hide and then unraveling and leaving it without me knowing.

I don’t want to rehome him but I feel like he should go to a professional who has experience with reptiles.

Does anybody know any reputable and trustworthy reptile rescues/sanctuaries within league city Tx and the surrounding areas?
Or even somebody here who has experience with special needs reptiles within the area that is willing to take on another snake.

I really don’t want to rehome him and I thought I could take care of him but I’ve bitten off more than I can chew with him and I feel so guilty about it.

My Bp strikes the rat curls around it and everything then will let go hour or even longer later

I’m having a problem with my ball python, where he is striking the rat I give him f/t rat pup every 2 weeks, curling around it and everything but when I come and check on him a couple hours later or sometimes the next day as I am only abt a week post-op from surgery
He has let go of the rat and left it there.

He has done this three times I believe.

He is between 2-3 years old and is 500grams on the dot

I checked on him an hour or so later the same day I fed him (Tuesday) and I didn’t see the rat as he had drug into his warm hide but I noticed today that my room began to smell funny. Bc he had let go the rat and didn’t eat it.

My humidity stays between 70-80% sometimes dropping to the 60% range. His warms wide has stayed between 85-91f and his cool size stays around 71-76f.

My feeding follows the recommended chart albeit on the smaller side as I’m feeding him a rat pup bc I haven’t gotten to upsizing him at all.

When should I try to feed him next? Next week? Another 2 weeks?

What am I doing wrong? He has brain dmg from a heat lamp falling on him as a hatchling at his breeder’s.
I’ve only had him since November and I’ve never owned a snake before.

Please help me! I’m super worried about him.

Which should I venerate on my bite weight aereis

I’m venerating my friends bite weight gt aereis for them after gt hunting it and im not sure which to venerate, I was thinking weight 3 then bite 2 or all into weight since you don’t fight with aereis head on.

How to keep my terrarium cool?

So I’m in Texas and it’s fairly hot out.

My attic door which is in the hallway between me and my brother’s room has recently broke and doesn’t close fully, so hot hair seeps into my room. It wasn’t a problem before since keeping my fan on kept the tank at an optimal-ish temp n the warm side but now I’m having the door slightly open with my overhead fan on high and a vorpnado fan on high but the temp is still a little warmer that I would like.

Unfortunately I cannot move him downstairs due to my dogs and my mom, and I cannot move him to a different upstairs bedroom.

Other than the fans and spraying with cold water what can I do to keep his temps cooler than 93degree f? Should I turn off my dhp?

This is my first time owning a ball python and he has Brain dmg from a heat lamp dropping on him when he was a baby at the breeder

Is there a phone number I can contact Char Ai?

I canceled my subscription in January it expired January 15th and they are still charging my card. I have submitted tickets but nothing has happened.
I’m genuinely so pissed off bc I don’t even have the app downloaded anymore, and they still charge my card.
If there is no phone number I will have to have my bank take care of it.

Spent an hour on each stick/branch hosing on full, and jet are they clean enough to put in my bp’s enclosure?

So I’m getting ready to upgrade my bp’s enclosure and I want to give him some small climbing opportunities, small one bc he does have brain damage but he’s been doing very good since I got him in November.

I found some large and one medium sized branches I think in march(?) and I soaked them for 2-3 weeks and then let them dry on my table on patio since it gets very hot in the sun. Somehow they got moved into the dirt,

So I spent about an hour on the two branches that were out in the garden hosing them down with my hose on full and then on jet. I got a lot of the bark off and focused on flooding any of the holes I saw and never saw any bugs come out.

I think their good but just want to see what others may think who have more experience than me,
