So I'm worried about my tank's temps. How do I measure it? I have a temp gun, a thermometer, and both of my heaters have probes on them.
The temp gun only measures the surface, the thermometer only measures the air, and the probes only measure exactly where they're sitting. Which one should I be trusting?

So I frequently check the pet store near my house, when going to pick up F/T mice. And I’ve been keeping tabs on the two “fancy” BPs they had.. these two had been in their tiny little enclosure with basically no humidity, dry aspen bedding and cramped up since last year. So I approached the manager and propositioned them to sell me both snakes in a bundle.
Long story short, I convinced them to sell me both snakes for slightly less than the price of just one..
While I understand the double edged sword of supporting the big box stores sales, it was more important to me to save these snakes.
The unfortunate side of this deal is that one of the snakes is a champagne morph.. so I’ve been doing some research on him and am curious about facts and opinions on the potential for health problems.
My little guy has been favoring his log over his hides after his shed. Any ideas why? (Just curious to the sudden change I don't think it's a bad thing)

Have a ball python that was given to me, it has these red places along his back.
His humidity is 73% and temp is 89°F on hit side and cool side is 77°. He is taking food and water well. His shed was a few weeks ago and it came off perfectly.
Have him on reptilbark. All advice or help be appreciated.
After trying to find out more about him and thinking he was the only one in the clutch. I upgraded my ball pythons tank to a 230 gallon from a 70 gallon and I’m gonna put more clutter In it!! She ate yesterday morning But she hasn’t left this spot about 17 hours now, is she okay? Is this normal?

i can’t believe i’ve had him for almost 5 years now. i’ve had my ups and downs but inevitably i have spent my first paychecks fully on his enclosure, i have taken years of research and learning about wrongs and rights with my baby, and have improved his enclosure and enrichment over the years of me and him growing.
So I have a ball python that I wanna reach out and get advice for. She got out of her enclosure and she’s gone for four days. She came back and she was scraped up and cut up pretty decent. But since then i have been fighting or trying to fight the RI/Pneumonia with the help of 2 separate exotic vets. She has been through 3 separate antibiotic treatments. I am coming here to ask for advice or opinions or any insight. My snake has two more shots left (every other day administration) and yet she still has A LOT of thick mucus in her mouth. I am coming to see if anyone has been in a similar situation and see what is recommended. I almost feel as if having her put down would be best for her at this point as we have been fighting this since February. Im currently having to tube feed her as she is not able to eat on her own yet. Since shes been on antibiotics and none have helped I’m at a loss. I don’t want to put her down but if thats where things are i don’t want her suffering anymore. My poor baby. The vets have filled a prescription for an anti fungal med but i don’t know if we should even try. Would it even be beneficial to her?
Lately, I’ve been focused on creating more informational graphics, so I just wanted to take a “break” and, instead, create a collection that showcases some cool lookin’ snakes—and I think I may continue on with this idea! Although it isn’t necessarily rare by any means, Mojave is my personal favorite morph within the BEL complex. It’s had such a significant impact on the Ball Python keeping & breeding hobby since the early 2000’s and its portfolio is extensive. These are some of the combinations that I feel are the most notable and iconic when it comes to this mutation!
Suggestions for other morphs are welcome :] I love putting these together in my free time.

Hey guys, not necessarily keeper advice needed...but some sort of advice needed. I'm 31 weeks pregnant and a mom of 3, and have kept ball pythons for 3 years now. I recently found a Facebook marketplace listing for a ball python available for trade for a 75 gallon fish tank. I had what I believed to be a 75 gallon fish tank, it is what my dad said it was when I gave it to me and I am just a girl and I personally don't have a measuring tape and hence my dad gave it to me I trusted him. Well, snake came to me, he was in a bare tank with a dusting of substrate, a single hide, cacti, and bandaids holding up the probe for his heat mat and his enclosure was filthy. He had urate everywhere and what looks to be several bad sheds, he's got stuck eye caps and is under weight he's a 1.5 year old and this person was feeding him a small mouse every 3-4 weeks. He only weights 185g and is dehydrated. The person came and dropped him off, and I had asked her 4 times if they were sure they wanted the tank. They said yes, loaded it into their SUV and gave me the snake and went on their way. 7 hours later they're saying I need to bring them the snake back or they're gonna call the cops and that the tank wasn't the size it was. They offered for me to pay them $150 at first and now it's up to 200 and they're giving me until tomorrow evening before they call the cops. I'm just terrified now, because I never intentionally lied about the size of the tank, I don't have the means to drive the hour away to them, and I just don't feel right sending the ball python back to them, and they seem like the person to escalate and call the cops and cps for no reason and that makes me even more anxious. What should I do? I'm scared, I'm worried, and I don't know what to do. Also, first time rehabbing a ball, what should I look out for and how can I help him be as comfy as possible?

How does my ball python enclosure look? The humidity and ambient temp gradient is holding where it's supposed to be. The cool hide temp is good. However I'm having issues getting the warm side hide temp up. The ambient air is 89 on the warm side, the hide temp with the temp gun is saying 83 degrees inside the hide though. I'm just concerned because we are in the process of increasing her meal size to match her weight. She was being under fed at the place we got her from. It's a PVC enclosure so I can't use a heat pad, plus I'm worried about her burning herself on one.
She spends most of her time in the cool side hide or in the plants anyways. But I want to be sure she has an option. I could add another heat projector, but I'm worried about the ambient temp getting to high and humidity then.
Any advice would be appreciated! Or is it ok if the warm house stays a little lower?
