So i had gotten a jailbroken 3ds xl a while ago to play the og mh games and recently was able to figure out how to emulate it using azahar on my pc. Since then I've really been trying to figure out how to actually be "good" and by the gods is it hard.

I feel like im pretty good at world and I know i can def kick some ass in wilds with charge blade l, but when it comes to those skills translating to 4u. Well its practically non existent.

For example if I were to fight gypceros in wilds, i can pretty confidently kill him with cb while mb taking less than 4 or 5 hits on average. I know where I need to be positioned, what his attack patterns are, and his windows for free damage are. Yet when I try to fight him in 4u its a genuine challenge. It feels like half the time his attack arent telegraphed at all, like they're isnt any startup to his spitting charge attack, and i dont know how in the world i should be positioned because of 1. How slow it is to do aed cancel 2. How long it take for me to be able to point guard or create enough space to

not get hit.

If im having such a hard time on (from wut I can assume based off of it being before the nercylla rank up quest) extremely early quests, i can't imagine how i would be able to do any high rank or even g rank quest. So can anyone give me some advice how how im suppose to improve postioning with charge blade and go to strings? cause I've watched at least a dozen videos on charge blade but not really go over what im looking for.

I was listening to the mars volta's "the bedlam in goliath" and around halfway through listening the album the for the first time I had reached the song goliath which my friend had previously put on for me and said was his personal favorite. At that point in time I had questioned why until I had reached the crazy high notes and insane guitar riffs. By the end of listening I to thought it was the best in the album up to that point, and wondered if I'd like any of the other songs more. But as I got further in i got to some song that heavily distorted the vocals or were just walls of sound with very little or no rhythm or pacing to be heard which made me question if people could genuine enjoy the sound of it.

So with that said, the reason I can't understand it is because we are literally biologically built to detect patterns. Patterns = yay brain essentially, so I dont get how the opposite of it could be something that people genuinely enjoy. The only possible thing i could think of is that the walls of noise aren't meant to be liked but break up the parts of the song that are enjoyable which would make sense but I dont really find as justifiable because imo if the harsh/muddy sounding sections of the songs I had listened to in the album were to be replaced. My enjoyment of the pre-existing sections wouldn't be reduced to the point of it being worth.

So is anyone able to give some insight because I'm genuinely

Conclusion: from reading the comments it just seems like most of the people that can enjoy these kinds of things just have a different mindset/backgrounds compare to me or are moreso "aficionados". in hindsight I kinda should've seen coming but u never know.
