I want to go to my first Ren Faire this fall, and I'm obsessed with the Armstreet "Princess in Exile" and the "German Rose" outfit. However, prices run a bit higher than my wallet (alas!) is comfortable with, and I have heard that similar quality items can be found for lower prices. Any shop/website recommendations? I'd like to spend about $300 on a good outfit (aside from the shoes and chemise). Looking for well made and historically inspired, but not necessarily super historically accurate.

I'm a bit confused by my boyfriend's behavior. A little context: we've been together a few months and we're both in our late 20s. I'm a straight cis female. He is a bisexual cis male, and genuinely seems to be into me and attracted to me. What throws me off is how he'll make jokes about being into guys and wanting to kiss guys. Not in an abstract way, but about specific people, like the time he said about a mutual friend of ours, "I hope he's gay because I like to think I could make out with him sometime." He'll just randomly say things like that, and I'm feeling really odd about it all. Why is he with me if he is so into guys? He's not making similar comments about women. I don't know if he thinks it's only rude to talk about being attracted to other women because I am a women, but that I won't mind him being into men because I'm not a man? It just seems wierd. If he's with me, why is he talking about other people like that? Am I even his type? Would he like me better if I had a beard and a twig and berries? Is it wierd for me to feel like this? I'm so confused.
