[A Way Out] #54; Wonderful Co-op Experience
Game Rating: 8/10
Total Hours Played: 8 hours
Recommend: If you want like co-op games.
A Way Out is a wonderful couch co-op game that both me and my brother played together and was my first ever co-op game. I played Leo, while my brother played Vincent. We both found it funny, how much we related to our characters like Leo's fear of heights and Vincent's calmness. It was really fun and I wished there were more games like it.
The only thing that annoyed us both was that the ending sucked. We played both endings and didn't like either of them, which was a shame.
I am looking for recommendations for couch co-op games on the PS4 (we tried Overcooked but my brother didn't like it).
[Sea of Solitude] #53
Game Rating: 6/10
Total Hours Played: 4 hours
Recommend: If you want short platinum.
Sea of Solitude is a game that tries to tackle mental health issues. The gameplay and game design are actually pretty good for a game that I have no expectations for, but my god, who wrote the dialogue? It comes off as cringe and a bit basic and tame for the topic such as bullying that it is depicting. Luckily the game itself and its runtime are short enough to make up for it.
[Mafia: Definitive Edition] #52; Why Does The Race Exist?
Game Rating: 8/10
Total Hours Played: 25 hours
Recommend: If you like pulling your hair out or like raging. I rage quit once.
Mafia: Definitive Edition by itself as a game is actually a very fun game with a great story. I was able to get past everything in Classic, though I died way too many times and why does Tommy want to always get out of cover when I want him in cover? I would actually argue that the combat is more fun in Classic than in other difficulties.
Chapter 5 has the infamous race, which I didn't win. What happened was that I am a shit driver in games, the physics of the car fails me at every turn, I got to 6th place. So I decided to go on YouTube and they said that you could pile up the cars, so I did that, but I only got to 3rd place.
In the end, I got my brother to do the race properly, since all he does is play racing games, and then I would alternate trying to pile up the cars, and he won the race in the end. I am able to win the race on Easy by myself, so I can get Supercharged, just not on Classic.
Also, what the hell are those collectibles. Why are none of them showing on the map, only the minimap and the mystery foxes not trackable?
[Discussion] Tier Ranking My First 50 Platinumed Games
This is my personal ranking of the first 50 games I platinumed. This is my opinion and my first tier list for anything really. All the games were platinumed on PS4.
The rankings are based on how much I loved/liked the game plus the enjoyment of getting the platinum on top of that. This tier list might honestly look different if I never attempt the platinum.
Explaining the ranks I added:
God: 100/10 games that I would platinum again in the future if I could.
Trash: Games that I wish I never bought and downloaded before checking any reviews. 🙄
Feel free to ask anything about the tier list.
[Red Dead Redemption] #50; "The Day John Marston Stops Shooting..."
Game Rating: 9/10
Total Hours Played: 48 hours for main game and 14 hours for Undead Nightmare DLC
Recommend: Definitely
I am so glad that I picked up the game to platinum. I initially tried the game back when it launched and played until half way through Mexico, then I got bored.
Seeing that it was leaving PS Plus gave me the final push and even though 100% kicked my arse and I don't think gambling is ever for my money-losing arse, I had so much more fun platinuming it than playing the game initially.
I think this is the first instance where doing everything in the game actually made it so much better for me and made me appreciate it more (especially the Undead Nightmare DLC).
Also, there was no need to make me cry at the end.
[Metro Last Light Redux] #49; Great Game and Platinum and Little Dark One is so Cute!
The game and the platinum was great and so much fun with the different play styles of the difficulties and gameplay. The platinum was relatively easy compared to 2033.
However the DLC trophies especially the Tower Level DLC was ridiculous. I will honestly admit that I did 3/5 levels by myself, and then I used the glitch on the last two as I would get to the last wave and just die and after many hours, I wasn't having any fun. It was the only trophy that I used a glitch for and I did collect all 30 artifacts in Kshatriya.
