Binder Adjustment Period

Can people please share their adjustment success stories to CSM/Welchol? I am six days in on just one tablet of colesevelam a day and am feeling pretty inflamed (flushed, muscle aches, headaches). Do you eventually adjust and stop having side effects? I keep hearing how great it will make me feel but so far I just feel worse! Thanks for any encouragement or advice!

Azithromycin replacement??

I have been on Mepron for a few months and have tried twice now to add in the azithromycin but it’s been so hard on my body and I just don’t know if I can do it over the summer when my four kids are home all day. I don’t want the Mepron to go to waste but am worried that if I don’t take the full month of azithromycin it will all be for nothing. Is there another option to the azithromycin I could take to continue the fight against babesia??

AV Advice

Looking for input from others who have dealt with Aerobic Vaginitis (AV).

My vaginal culture came back positive for -
E. coli
Enterococcus faecalis
Group B Streptococcus (GBS)

My symptoms have included vaginal burning, rawness/irritation, pelvic discomfort, and some urinary-type symptoms.

My gynecologist prescribed moxifloxacin 400 mg once daily for 6 days. I took my first dose yesterday and developed significant side effects including severe muscle aches/heaviness throughout my body (feels like I’ve been hit by a truck) along with tingling/burning sensations in my feet. I had a similar reaction to ciprofloxacin in the past but thought maybe this would be different since it’s a different floxacjn 😩 I feel dumb for that but it is what it is!

For those who have had AV:

What antibiotic were you prescribed?

Did anyone have success with alternatives to moxifloxacin?

I have been very slowly titrating up my Mepron and just made it to 3/4 tsp twice a day a week ago - the herxing/flare has made for a very rough week where I’m starting to wonder if Mepron is worth it! Specifically, the “Mepron blues” - for those who experienced the emotional side effects while taking Mepron did those go away once you stopped? Thanks for any encouragement! I know so many of us can relate to the struggle of knowing treatment is necessary but can also be so overwhelming!
