Taycan 4s 25

I've been going back and forth for weeks, but I think I'm finally ready to pull the trigger on a 2025 Porsche Taycan 4S.

It's a 2025 model with around 17,000 miles, and this would be my only car as well as my daily driver. My commute is mostly to the office, and I live in Dubai.

For those of you who own or have owned a Taycan:

  1. Is there anything I should specifically inspect before buying?

  2. Have you experienced any reliability issues or common faults?

  3. How has battery degradation been in real-world use?

  4. Any unexpected ownership costs or maintenance surprises?

  5. If you don't have home charging, does ownership become a hassle?

  6. Would you buy it again as your only vehicle?

Also, if there are any regrets or things you wish you'd known before purchasing, I'd really appreciate hearing them.

Thanks in advance!

Is this a bad idea?

I'm planning to buy this but I'm not exactly sure. Heard that the tycans had a lot of recalls. Also I don't have a EV charging point at home

If your budget was 300k what would you buy?

Need some advice from fellow car enthusiasts and owners.

My budget is around AED 300k, and I keep changing my mind. One day I'm convinced I should get a Porsche, and the next day I wonder if I should just buy one of the newer Chinese cars and save a lot of money.

This will mostly be a daily office commute car, so reliability and maintenance costs matter to me. I'm also struggling with the new vs used dilemma. A lightly used German luxury car seems like great value, but I've heard plenty of horror stories about maintenance costs and reliability.

Are German luxury cars really that expensive to own and maintain in the UAE, or is it overblown? And for those who have experience with the newer Chinese brands, how has ownership been?

If you had AED 300k to spend today on a car that would mainly be used for daily commuting, what would you buy and why?

Would love to hear some real-world experiences and any regrets you may have
