My first try at making Honeycomb/sponge candy

So this is my first time making honeycomb/sponge? candy and also my first time using the cold water method to check my temperature. It didn't come out as expected(was bulkier i guess) and also i think i confused soft crack stage for hard rock stage. My ingredients were:

Sugar - 100g

Glucose Syrup - 50g

Water - 23g

Baking Soda - 4g

Strawberry flavor

Anyone experienced with this candy to offer me some guidance? (The shiny substance is vegetable oil i had applied on my pan) Thank you!

Flower Gummies

Idk if anybody else has ever tried this, it sounds crazy but i have decided to try it anyway. So i have been making gummies for a few months now and my friends are asking for stronger gummies, problem is, it seems like i have hit the ceiling with my coconut oil infusions(haven't tried double infusion yet, if you have let me know if it works). I'm working on adding the decarbed ground flower directly into the gummy mix instead of using a carrier. What do you think? Have you ever tried this? I know I'll have less weed to work with but i think it'll be worth it. Also i have found away to add the flower into the mix without burning it

Today I'll walk you through how I make weed gummies. This method is discreet, fast and requires no extra equipments, just a pressure cooker and a few simple ingredients.

What you'll need

• Pressure cooker

• Flower

• Lecithin (sunflower or soy), I use soy lecithin

• Heat source

• Coconut oil

• A glass jar or other container suitable for use in a pressure cooker

My process

  1. Decarbing(activating the cannabinoids)

Add 4 g of flower to your glass jar. Close the lid but do not tighten it. Add water to the pressure cooker and place a trivet or some scrunched aluminium foil on the bottom to keep the jar from touching the base. Close the pressure cooker and heat until the first whistle/vent, then time 35 minutes. After that, let the pressure cooker cool down naturally.

The flower should look brownish or golden after this step.

  1. Infusion

To the same jar, add 48 g of coconut oil and 3 g of lecithin. Stir or shake to combine, then place the jar back in the pressure cooker. Heat until the first vent, then time another 35 minutes. Let it cool naturally again.

Strain the mixture (I use a metal sieve). You'll end up with around 38 g or more of golden infused oil.

  1. The gummy recipe(i assume you know how to make regular gummies)

• Gelatin: 20 g

• Sugar: 32 g

• Glucose syrup: 92 g

• Infused coconut oil: 16 g

Yield: 18–21 large gummies. One gummy gives a subtle effect, two produce a noticeable one.

Happy cooking from Kenya.
