Can that bottom black bar be fixed with settings or is it a deeper issue

So im in the process of modifying my Xbox shell, but im wondering how severely is the metal chassis needed for everything, like for the power supply I definitely would re add the paper to the plastic, but does it hurt Temps or anything else if I remove it, or should I just spray paint it black to look clean with the shell

(Please don't yell at me about the metal being all bent and stuff, I am aware)
