I’ve been thinking about this occasionally after a discussion I had in an older post here. I would have thought the differences would have been far greater than the other person implied. Some of their key points were susceptible to similar damage, restricted to the same speeds and that cannons can only scale up a certain amount while still being effective. I’m assuming there’s 40k rounds that modern military would only dream of having.
I was hoping to hear some of your guys thoughts on this.

Still working out some kinks in my new painting scheme but I think I’ve got the hang of it enough for the next five to be more consistent. Glad to have settled on something for my chapter before I repaint my space marines to match though. They are the ‘Fire thorns’ - maybe I’ll type up some of the lore for them sometime.

One singular stormsurge with unlimited ammunition vs the entire us army. How far could the stormsurge get?

This is a battle of the losers from two prior posts of mine!

The Martians have fixed their vulnerability to germs. They get the drop on Paradis by being buried underground and pilots entering the tripods through lightening storms. I wanted to highlight their shields and heat rays from the movie in the photos above.

The titans have unified behind the banner of Paradis. The founding titan is not in play but all titans are fully trained to their maximum potential. I’ve tried to show some of the defences the humans have, the scouts and other military divisions, the nine titans and the huge walls, even though some tripods start within. There are cannons high on the walls, though the tripod shielding doesn’t allow for projectile penetration.

In my mind the tripods do devastating damage, but humanity would be able to counter attack and use the powers of the titans to pick off tripods one by one. A big part of this is that the tripods outside the walls have to be stuck out there for a significant amount of time for the tripods within to be dispatched. The other thing is the tripods congregate for even more devastating destruction which would make it nearly impossible to defeat them, especially with tripods outside the walls waiting for them who have most likely already congregated. Maybe the tripods could never penetrate the walls from the outside.

Wanted to note some minor things.

The attack titan will have access to all the power/abilities before having taken the power of the warhammer titan, though he can still make focused hardening he cannot create physical constructs.

The imperial Knight has the loadout as seen in the image above.

The battle takes place in neutral territory.

A Xenomorph found its way onto an ork spacecraft through an egg. A regular ork boy became host to a xenomorph (possibly with ork related features and abilities if we can imagine something like that). The xenomorph is running amok in its new hunting ground. How far will it get? Can it wipe out the entire ship like we see with human ships? What would the orks think of a creature like the xenomorph?

Planet express crew and ship vs red dwarf crew and ship. Each crew has complete access to everything on their respective ships and all crew are present (after listers awakening from cryosleep)

Red dwarf is a mining vessel and has no offensive feats outside of repurposing mining equipment, but it is massive enough for it to take days to explore each floor of the ship. The crew often discover macguffins and items they were previously unaware of. There are also smaller vessels inside like Starbug and Blue Midget.

Planet express have weapon systems and would likely be faster and more agile but is far smaller. Planet express would also have the upper hand against the red dwarf crew in a physical fight. They most likely have greater access to futuristic weaponry that the professor could make out of parts of the ship whereas the red dwarf crew only have access to Bazookoids which are like heat seeking plasma blasts.

I’d like to say that in this scenario the Martians have accounted for their weakness to foreign bacteria and now won’t die from something so dumb. But every other aspect to them, being buried, transported down in lightening, emps, etc.
if thats cheating though, lets go with the standard version instead

Mini isn’t finished quite yet and I need a new recipe for that orange but the green armour is for the most part done.
There’s a really annoying part just above the knee where I think I have painted a bit too thick and wide but it’s all a learning experience

Happy to paint some marines again after finishing up my tau army. Loved the idea of lascannons poking out through ruins just for that tiny bit of cover while lining up a shot

I made the sword effect to resemble the GUO’s attack from dawn of war 2 - not sure why but it always stuck with me.

Obviously it’s a stupid question, but for a bit of fun I was wondering what invincible would be able to take on in 40K. They are both really op universes, but in my opinion invincible still gets steamrolled. I think space marines and warbosses would give him a hard time and maybe even kill him. They are just some examples though.
