Hi everyone — I’m an enterprise Product Manager in NYC, and I’m hoping to get a reality check from people actively doing the job today.

I stepped out of the workforce for a few years to care for my mom after her cancer diagnosis. I was lucky to be able to do that, and I’ve been back in a position to work for about a year now. But I haven’t started applying yet because I was still balancing the final stage of her treatment, and honestly, I’ve also been dealing with a lot of fear about re-entering the market.

I’m currently not employed, and I’m trying to understand what I need to rebuild confidence and become competitive again.

I left right before AI started changing a lot of the product workflow, and I keep worrying that the role has moved on without me. I’d really appreciate hearing from PMs in enterprise, B2B, SaaS, or adjacent corporate environments about:

- What do you actually spend your week doing as an enterprise PM?
- What responsibilities are most important in your role today?
- What skills do you rely on most in 2026?
- How has the job changed since 2022, especially with AI in the mix?
- For context, what kind of workplace are you in — small team, mid-size company, or large corporate/enterprise setup?
- What industry are you in?

I’m especially interested in the practical version of the role, not the polished LinkedIn version. If you’ve made a comeback, changed industries, or had to rebuild your confidence in PM, I’d love to hear your experience too.
