Just a little rant - warning talks of mental health and doctors ignoring

So I have been struggling since I was about 14. I initially just started with ticks and frequently feeling ill (feeling really sick but not being able to put a pinpoint on what it is) which I later learned was one of my symptoms. And this is where things got really hard.

I was already under CAMHs for my ADHD and I was on some medication which really helped my ADHD and I was also finding helped with the tics but research suggests that that particular medication makes tics worse so I was taken off it and put on something else which didn’t help at all, I just got really bad side-effects from and then they put me on a sedative which again didn’t help at all but made me incredibly tired and again really sick so they put me on some short acting ADHD medication and while it was in my system it worked but when it left my system I experienced really bad crash and this massively impacted my mental health and I found my functional symptoms very quickly getting worse to the point where it was affecting the muscles in my eyes leading them to spasm and uncontrollably move when I finally got a new doctor they took me off the medication that was not helping and put me back on the medication which I had always said had helped but I never received any support for what I went through when I was on medication which was the wrong medication and nobody listened to me when I was telling them it was wrong.

Later I got a new psychiatrist and at this time everything had gotten so much worse to the point that I was experiencing severe muscle spasms in my arms and legs as well as paralysis and seizures and we spoke to the psychiatrist about it and my mum suggested maybe getting me a wheelchair so that I could still live a normal life but my psychiatrist said no because it would reinforce my thought that I needed help and that when I experienced these types of flareups people should refrain from helping me because again it would just reinforce my thoughts that I needed help and that I needed to be looked after and that was also her reasoning as to why she wouldn’t do the tests for a diagnosis despite the fact that she said it was most likely FND
All of this has just left me feeling really ignored and like I cannot trust medical professionals because I was telling them that I needed help and that things were wrong and they just wouldn’t listen and it’s something I’ve carried for a very long time and when I tell some people about it, they just tell me that I should get over it because it happened but it’s not happening now, but it’s still really hard

New to using a wheelchair

Hi,
I experience temporary and prolonged muscle weakness even paralysis and spasms due to my functional condition which I’ve had since I was 14. For a long time I thought having a wheelchair would be really helpful, but a doctor of mine convinced my parents that I shouldn’t have one because she claimed ‘it would just reinforce the fact that I felt I needed help’ (she also refused to even begin the diagnostic process for my functional condition because she said that ‘it would also reinforce the fact that I thought I needed help’.)
I’m going up to university in September and because things have been deteriorating my parents got me a secondhand wheelchair but it did not come with a foot plate and I don’t have a clue how to go about getting a replacement. I’ve done some research, but there are just so many different types. I was wondering if people could tell me if they’ve got a replacement one how they went about getting one that worked for their chair. (I don’t know if this is helpful, but all I know is that my chair is a CareCo chair -I have looked on the Careco website for a replacement for the foot plate, but they only have ones for elevating their legs and I just need something to keep my legs out the way)
Thank you

The quests

When they first introduced the little quest things I hated them. I felt that they really impeded on the gameplay and everything but honestly now I love them they are my favourite thing to do and I love whenever there’s an update and we get more although I do find some of them are very hard. I just wanted to put that out there
Edit: sorry this feels too quite what is everyone else’s opinion on them

Discouraging flys

My friend has autism and one thing that he has really been struggling with with the hot weather is the sound that flies make and he currently has a fly in his room but he’s unable to get rid of and he doesn’t want to keep his windows open for long periods of time in case that encourages more flies to come in so I said that I would ask if there was anything that he could make whether that be like a candle or a diffuser or just having bowls of herbs scattered around his room to see if there’s anything he can do to discourage flies coming in. (I did also try ad advising him to have a spider in his room in hopes that that gets rid of the flies but he has terrible arachnophobia)

Tattoos and tics

I have a tic disorder (both physical and verbal). The artist I have been talking to is conserned that we might not be able to finish it or there maybe problems with it, if I am having a bad day or something like that. I have skills to help

- fidget toys

- headphones

- numbing cream to start

- hard sweets

- moving alot before appointment

- redirecting

And if its possible for the artist having a movement brake during the appointment.

Does anyone here have tics, how did you manage it during your appointment and if any artists have tattooed people with tics what did you do to make it easier for them and how did it go.

I understand that some people might find it strange that I want a tattoo when I struggle to stay still becuase of my tics but this is important to me and any advice / experiences would be appretiated
