Did Eminem have a positive or negative impact on the genre

I know so many people don't like him but you can't deny he has no impact on the game, however do you think that impact was good or bad

Please stop hating the artist

Disclaimer: before you disagree make sure you read and understand my point and by the way I'm an Eminem fan to clear any accusations and I used drake and Kendrick because they are the relevant artists right now.

MUSIC TASTE IS SUBJECTIVE

I find it annoying when people hate the artist instead of the art, a popular example is drake & Kendrick, SOME drake fans hate Kendrick (the artist) instead of his music (the art) and it's even worse because they don't even give his music a chance and only hate because he has beef with their favourite artist and because it's something popular (that also goes for SOME Kendrick fans).

Personally I do lean in the side of Kendrick because he has the things that make me enjoy music (better lyrics, topics and storytelling just like my favorite artists) but when people hear me give an opinion like: "Kendrick is the better lyricist", "Kendrick won the beef", "I don't like drake's music as much as Kendrick's" they instantly default to: he's a Kendrick fan (vice versa for people who prefer drake too where Kendrick fans default to people who don't like Kendrick or prefer drake as: he's a drake fan)

Now I would also like to mention another thing that I feel is related to this post (you can stop reading at this point tho) and I will give an example using Eminem:

From my perspective of life (as someone who isn't from an English speaking country) I don't think there is a rapper who's going to reach Eminem's prime in the level of popularity and I say this because everyone I know who listens to local music (non-english) still knows who Eminem is (50 Cent as well to be fair and honest), but rarely know any other English rappers.

And there are a lot of people who believe he is overrated and it's completely ok (overrated ≠ bad) but the problem is when people say he's overrated only because people who have wider music taste said so, and they didn't give Eminem a chance.

Or people who say you have a bad music taste just because your favorite artist is Eminem (or any pop artist they don't like), I get it Eminem is overrated in the mind of lots of people for being white but that doesn't always mean that people whose favorite artist is Eminem only listen to him, take me as an example; I listened to a lot of rappers but Eminem is still my favorite (I don't want to list everything because it will make the post so much longer).

Anyways MUSIC TASTE IS SUBJECTIVE

HATE THE ART NOT THE ARTIST AND ONLY IF YOU GAVE IT A FAIR CHANCE

I want to stay friends and not become her bf in a respectful way (teenager)

I will make this as short as possible and write a detailed version (only things I think make a difference and not everything) at the end to save you time

**MAIN IDEA:**

So I know this girl in real life and we talked a lot lately on social media, but now I feel like she wants us to be more than friends, more than best friends, basically one of the 3: she thinks I want her, she wants me, she thinks I want her and she also wants me. Now I don't want to be in a relationship not because she's bad or anything but I believe I'm too young and immature for this + I rarely have a long talk with any of my male friends in school so I feel like I have a communication problem.

**DETAILED VERSION:**

Me (14M) and this girl (a few months younger) used to attend the same school last year, and we've been talking so much the previous 2 months on Instagram, although I love talking with her; I don't want to be in a relationship of any means because I'm sure I'm not ready for that.

Which wasn't a problem until lately, because she started flirting alot (for the record I started first but I was kidding and did it rarely), and one of our recent texts was something like this (keep in mind I was kidding and I thought she got used to that):

***Me: when I have a gf no one will know but there will be signs***

***Her: no one except her***

***Me: neither would she***

***Her: how would you know she's your gf?***

***Me: should I tell her then?***

***Her: \*double texted\****

***yes 100% tell her I want you to be my gf***

***No one can take her from u***

***Me: ok can I try it***

***Her: yes if you truly love*** ***her***

***Me: can you be my gf?***

***Her: you're only trying right?***

***Me: \*double text\****

***Yes***

***Can you be my gf***

***Her: can't say anything***

***Me: \*double text\****

***Damn it***

***I wanted u to say yes, then I will say I already told her (I asked you bc ur the one I want)***

***Her: nothing works with me right?***

***Me: I was just kidding so not a big deal***

***Her: don't be kidding again ok? So we all can be honest***

By the way I just went back to the Convo to make sure of the following:

After this she started sending me reels that look like that:

\*If she lets you, how would you style her\*

\*What are things that you'd remove from me if you could\*

Basically flirting reels which I tried to respond to without making her think I want or I hate her.

Also that same day at night I felt like I needed more time to think if I'm just overthinking or if she wants me, so I tried to end the Convo and texted her saying I have nothing to say, she responded saying so what to do? I foolishly said: "Q&A?" Like if I wasn't just trying to end the Convo.

Anyways she agreed and I told her: "ladies go first" because neither of us wanted to ask first.

She asked: "how much percent you want me" I took a longtime trying to not answer but she forced me to give a number, I didn't want to say less than 50% so I was initially going to say 50% but I found a clever way (I think) to answer without being mean: I said 67% (stupid meme I don't want to explain it bc it doesn't have a meaning), she double texted smile face emoji and said your turn.

I asked the same question and she said: 30%

I was both shocked and reliefed, but she kept on sending me rls reels.

**EXTRA INFO (ABT ME):**

I had multiple ppl crushing on me at the same year multiple times which I'm not gonna lie I believe it's only because of my looks that I often get complimented for (or ppl talk to me nicer than others bc of it).

Many ppl I talk to (including her) think I'm gay simply because of the fact that I say things like: "look there, don't you think he's cute" to boys of all ages which I really think is normal.

I've never been to a rls.
