I was drawn as number 30 for a 1-bedroom on this project. Last Thursday I received an email asking me to submit NOA, proof of Canadian status and proof of full-time post secondary enrolment, within 72hours.
I submitted all 3 documents but haven’t heard back since.
It’s only been a week or so but I’m getting a bit nervous as I’m currently unhoused/in between places. I don’t want to sign a lease anywhere if this unit is a possibility for me here. But it is getting difficult to remain unhoused in the interim, and not knowing what to expect.
My question is for the others who’ve been contacted, can you shed some light on the details of the process?
How long did it take after you submitted the initial documents they asked for, for them to get back to you?
And was that it?
Are those the only documents you had to provide for them to determine your eligibility or were you required to go through more steps and provide more documents after those initial ones they requested?
At what point where you deemed “accepted”?
How long did it take from initial contact to being accepted or rejected?
Just want to be prepared and have an idea of what they may ask for so I can prepare it ahead of time and also to anticipate how long this may take so I know how long I can expect to be unhoused for.
