The people of Boulder, Colorado have just filed a massive lawsuit against their city’s police department for installing flock cameras in their city. They site “illegal mass surveillance” as the reason for their lawsuit.
What’s it going to take to get something like that to happen here in Buffalo and in other cities? Something has got to give. Our city officials allowed these cameras to be put up all over our city without even the slightest thought of how it would go over with the public, and from what I’m seeing on the internet, the flock cameras aren’t going over well anywhere in the U.S. (other than with the police-state bootlickers)
I’m currently rewatching Ken Burn’s Civil War, and at the beginning of episode 3, historian Shelby Foote starts talking about the rebel yell, and how he had never got to hear it.
I know there’s restored footage out there now of old Confederate veterans from the 1930’s shouting the rebel yell, but Shelby Foote died in 2005. I have no idea what year the footage of the rebel yell was found and restored, so I was curious as to if he ever got to hear what it really sounded like before he passed.
If you have any info or insight, I’d love to hear it! Thanks
