Wavenet down for anyone else?

My registration opens tmrw and I am starting to stress. I called IT, they walked me through some possible solutions. Nothing worked, they opened a ticket, and said other students are having the same issue. Anybody?

This morning when I entered my login creds, it took me to 'PeopleSoft Oracle' and says Invalid login. I reset my password and still got the same message.

I feel awful and need an outside perspective.

I feel awful and need an outside perspective. One of my best friends moms bought us amazing front row tickets to see The Neighbourhood as a graduation gift to her daughter. For months, I somehow had it in my head that the concert was the December show because they're playing the same venue twice, Once in October, Once in December.

My family booked a Europe trip today, I am flying out 2 days before the day of the October concert. Today, after telling my mom I was free and letting her book the tickets, I realized I had completely mixed up the dates. I immediately apologized to my friend, called my mom to see if there was any possible way to change the trip (there wasn't), and looked into whether we could switch to the December show. I even offered to buy both of our December tickets if my friend wanted to switch.

My friend told me multiple times that she wasn't mad, but of course she is and has every right to be, but she explained that she had already looked into switching before because she wanted to go to the December show too, and it would've cost a lot more. She also doesn't want her mom to be upset after buying the October tickets.

I still feel like a horrible friend. I know this was a really big thing for her, and I hate that I disappointed her because I didn't verify the date. I know this is just an excuse but I am a full time employee and masters student, juggling a new business as well.

Has anyone else ever made a scheduling mistake like this? Is there anything thoughtful I can do to make it up to her?

Afternoon tea?

Wanting to host 6 girls for my 24th birthday.

In between 2 options, hoping someone can help/give input on their experience as far as ambience and food at either of these places/anything I should know to help me pick! Let me know if it also just depends on my preference.

Price-wise they end up pretty similar once drinks/tax/tip are added.

For context:

  • We’re all in our early 20s
  • I want it to feel luxurious, feminine, aesthetic, and special occasion worthy. I know they are both luxurious, but one is more vintage/elegant, and one is more trendy/fun/modern.
  • I care a lot about the actual vibe/interiors/photos
  • I also want the food and drinks to actually be GOOD and not just pretty
  • We’d probably all get cocktails/champagne too

The Langham in Pasadena seems:

  • more timeless/elegant/classic luxury
  • beautiful gardens and hotel
  • maybe more “rich relaxing tea”

The London Hotel in West Hollywood seems:

  • trendier/fashion girl vibe; more cocktails/editorial vibe
  • They are currently doing a 'Devil Sips Prada' themed tea that looks really cute, and seems to give me the best mix of high/luxury tea, but also a funky, pop vibe that is actually very ME.

I’ve (24F) been nearly 1 year post separation and no contact for most of that w my ex fiance of 4 years. Breaking contact was the hardest thing I had to do, I had such a sick attachment. I couldn’t even leave him when I found out for a good while until he did it again. I took that as my sign, but it was so hard and i had many slip ups along the path to fully reaching no contact.

We were engaged for 1 year when i found out he cheated 4 months after proposing.. It was a very rocky road from when I found out up until I did some major healing in the last year. I struggled heavily with my judgement and got into some bad situations before cleaning everything up (my career, school, friendship surroundings), I am 24F. I am currently in therapy, trying to work out these feelings.

Even though me and my ex have been no contact for so long, I’m sure it’s natural that my mind tends to remember the good parts, but idk why I can’t seem to let go of our closeness, comparing what him and I had to people i’m trying to date now. He was like my best friend.

My old life seems so far away and I really liked the complacency I had. Nothing to prove, life was situated, future was clear. Now everyone around me is getting married to their partners they’ve been with for the last 4-5 years (getting married at my age is normal/traditional/expected among my ethnicity/community/cultural and societal surroundings) I know i’m young and that may sound crazy. My own family doesn’t really rush me and I know I shouldn’t compare and everyone’s on their own path, but I can’t help but feel the pressure seeing it happen to others

I miss my old life or at least the complacency. The friend group i basically “lost custody of” in the breakup. Even that walked away from so NOT gracefully, filled with anger at them for not understanding me/not feeling like they had my back. I had to basically start from scratch because they were his friends first. That was my fault for expecting anything from them and not leaving space or maintaining too close of a bond with many of my own girlfriends that didn’t come from his friends or family like sisters, girlfriends of friends, cousins, etc.

Having someone i felt ok doing nothing with. I’ve struggled to find that w anyone i’ve gone out with, even if i really really like the person and see that we both recognize this and are mutually trying to better our connection.

It’s like every moment comes down to my past still and i wish it didn’t. I honestly hate to admit that I miss him. This is the first time i’ve allowed myself to say it. I don’t even know if that’s really true or maybe i’m just gaslighting myself since i feel it’s so disgusting to admit after all this time. I say it in my head sometimes but it’s hard to put it out here.
