Did a heaven and Hell Theme

This was for last season. Regular home depot style skelly. It was lit with warm yellow pin spot and blue on the other walls. Battery candles in the top at night and a ton of religious ephemera.

With the Candidates for Governor ramping up, I have a question

How do they stand on Remote work for state employees?

I know it saves money for the state and gives people a chance to work that may not have been able too before. I also know it can be a hot button for some people.

I have not seen anyone address anything on the topic.

** Update** Thank you all so much for the responses. The letter was verified and Im going to get a copy of the death certificate and send in the forms. THen I can decide what to do. Ill try to come back and update agains after things move forward. Thank you for being kind and supportive!

I ( 61F) was raised by my stepmother, deceased 2024, and my father, deceased 2024. My step grandfather, deceased in 2025, was a veteran of WWII. I recieved a letter from the VA stating I was named as a beneficiary in his will for VA benefit insurance. I have to send a copy of my Step mothers death certificate. I have one half brother ( 35) who has cut out myself and my other brother. When both parents passed, he moved into the house they owned and got a dumpster and tossed everything either my brother or myself may have wanted without asking. My half brother has three small kids now, has trashed the house, spent 60k in what was left of the estate and refuses to speak with me or my brother. He has a history of opiate abuse and it is a long history.

The letter states to send the death certificate and a list of all living relatives I am aware of. I called the number on the letter and the person who answered just kept saying to do what it says on the letter. No matter the question.

I do not know how much the benefit may be, nor if anyone else got this letter. The website said a 10k cap unless they kept paying on it and he is the type who verywell may have kept paying. When I asked my full brother about it, he said he wanted nothing to do with that side of the family. The End,

Part of me says to just let it go and forget about it. Part of me says claim whatever it is and put it in a trust for the grandchildren of my step mother, and another part of me says just see how much it is and decide then.

I guess im wondering what others might do? My step grandfather was fine, fairly welcoming, and passed at 99 years old. Anyone have experience with something like this?
