I see some people in the online discourse, even more prevelent now after the "Christian Men Only Gym" was annouced, that the avoidance of women is just because they are closeted homosexuals.

Even before this, I had once mentioned to a female friend of mine that in Mount Athos that every women is forbidden to enter, and she went on a rant about how they (the monks) are gay and weak minded.

I wanted to ask you guys opinion on this, I know that the monks are doing that to be closer to God and to search for His love, and that is the Holy Mother's mountain, but could they do this without forbidden women?
