Customer Service
Imagine you are excited about going on vacation. Work has been stressful and you need a break.
A hotel with nice amenities is reserved. You looked at all the info and planned fun places to visit and unique experiences.
It is all paid for.
You arrive and check in at the hotel. The lobby is missing some things. Oh well, small thing. You are are HERE!! Let's have fun.
One of the exciting things about this hotel is the room can be customized. You go to the Customize Gallery and try a few things then the screen goes blank. Nothing you do helps. Guess you have the default room for now. Sad, you were looking forward to the fancy designer room.
Time to get cleaned up for a nice dinner. Halfway thru your shower with shampoo in your hair, the water goes ice cold. Aaaaaugh! You are frozen. That's when you notice your partner is frozen in place, unmoving. What?? So weird.
Both of you shake off the lag, whatever that was. The shower is warm again, somehow. You get the shampoo out of your hair.
On the way to dinner you stop at the front desk to report these problems. The staff says:
"We are waiting for a few more reports from other customers before repairing the Gallery and the weird freezing."
How long have these things been waiting? you ask.
"Hmm. A year? 9 months, maybe. Oh, the weight rack has never worked since it arrived."
"By the way, the hotel cancelled your entertainment selections.
There is a computer in the lobby where you can troll the internet instead.
Welcome to the Autonomy Hotel!"
That's how it feels to play Sims 4 right now.
My new normal is workarounds and ignoring weird bugs.
