Hello all, I've been preparing for an upcoming trip to this park and until this point have been exclusively planning on using my hammock for the multiple nights I'll be there. I've done hammock camping in the past and have had no issues, but I recently found many words of caution against using them at this park. I don't have a good backpacking tent, otherwise I would switch now. Are there any campsites that I should absolutely avoid for lack of any available/good trees? (I'll note that I've made peace with the fact that I may need to sleep on the floor of a shelter if worst comes fo worst given inclement weather or other reasons). Thank you!

Hello all! My partner and I just moved to Gwynedd Valley, and I am looking for how to connect with community in the area. I have so far been having a difficult time finding local events and activities. Any advice on where to direct my search?

My partner and I just moved to PA, and we are trying to find community events that wouldn't always require us to make a full trip out to Philly and deal with the traffic. We are staying in Media for the next two months, and then will be settling fully in Gwynedd Valley. I haven't had much luck finding information online about events or groups in either of these areas yet, so I figured I would ask people who have lived in PA longer than myself. Thank you!

I just moved to Pennsylvania, and I'm having a hard time finding community activities near me! I figured I would ask those that are more familiar with PA and the areas surrounding Philadelphia, as I'm just feeling a bit lost and could use some direction for an appropriate reddit/facebook/instagram group I could connect with.

I am staying in Media for the next two months, and then will be settling officially in Gwynedd Valley. I have had no luck finding online groups for either of these areas so far. I'm not opposed to making the trip out to Philadelphia occasionally for an event, but I would prefer to have connections closer to me and not so much in the city proper. Any direction or advice would be appreciated!
