I’m doing a “take 1 step per follower everyday while holding a rock” challenge and I’m getting a lot of followers but I’m noticing it’s hard to get people to actually watch the videos. Seems they just care about adding to my total to make me walk.

Makes me just feel like my content is not good - can anyone check it out? I’m brand new to creating content so I’m trying new things all the time.

I have been making content for a bit over a month now. At first I was making random funny videos of me trying to get into shape by using a rock, random funny swimming content etc.

I decided I am going to do a challenge 2 weeks ago - take 1 step per follower daily, while holding a rock. It had a slow start and I gained basically no followers the first 5 days. It was mostly people I knew. I got better at editing and better ideas and day 5 I gained 250 followers. We are now on day 14 and I am at a total of 500+. My videos are getting more consistent engagement and followers seem to keep engaging.

My biggest question is how do I make my content more interesting and better? I am considering waiting a bit to announce my daily followers to increase video watch time.

My hooks are usually solid - like less than 30 percent skip rate solid. Sometimes I miss and it’s at 40-45% but it’s rare. The biggest issue is I usually have like a 0 percent share rate. How would you increase the likelihood someone sends this to a friend? Call to action? Something random like “send this to your friend if they look like this rock”?

In 6 days I went from 9 subscribers to 83 but my videos are only being watched 45-65 percent of the way which is leading the views to be maxed out at 1000 or so. I’m still gaining like 5-10 subs per video even with a small audience but the analytics are saying my content isn’t interesting.

Any advice?

How do I get more than 1k views? I get about 20-30 likes, 5 or so shares and about 10 subs per short but they can’t seem to get past 1000 views. I’m about 7 reels in so I’m planning on continuing doing what I’m doing but I’m just curious if there is a specific reason for this ceiling.

I’ve had almost 200 new followers in 30 hours after having a reel go semi viral - lots of the accounts are like 0 posts 150 followers and 6500 following.

Does this mean it’s a bot?

It really gained a lot of momentum and I’m on day 5/100. I tried a few new things with format but is there any advice to keep the momentum going?

I had 95 followers yesterday and I’ve gained like 80 since 10pm last night.

Or just keep going steady and don’t expect it to happen again for a bit?

I feel like I made my best reel yet and it completely doesn’t even get a chance to be distributed.

Is 34.2 percent skip rate that bad? Reel has like 250 views in 6 hours. Is part of it luck of the draw?

If I feel like my video is good - should I try to post a similar version later or are these metrics pretty weak?

I’d appreciate some feedback before I post it tomorrow. It’s related to fitness and transformation but it’s kind of a shit post to be funny and maybe get some followers.

For context i want to create original content in the fitness industry. I want to transform my body and my special sauce will be that “I locked myself out of my house until I get jacked or hit 1 million followers”

The whole idea is going to be to create educational content with workouts in my back yard with stuff like rocks and any other free stuff I can find. As well as ways to stretch your body to feel less pain.

Some of the content will be funny to keep people entertained as well and to bring them to my page.

Does this seem like too broad of a niche? Is it lame to do a challenge to 1 million followers? I’d commit to this plan for at least 365 days and 1 million is obviously insanely high for a reason. I’d be happy with literally 10k with solid engagement.
