Some football rivalries stop mattering the second real life hits

Ronaldo left a short message under Messi’s tribute to his dad, sending a huge hug and strength to him and his family.

And idk, moments like this make 15 years of GOAT arguments feel very small.

Ronaldo lost his own father before most of his biggest career moments happened, so he knows what losing a parent young can mean. That doesnt tell us exactly what he feels now, obviously, but the gesture lands differently because of that history.

There’s honestly nothing clever to analyse here.

Two players spent half their lives being turned into opposite sides of the same football war. Then something real happens and none of that matters.

You can debate football forever. Grief is just grief.

We almost warned users about long AI video shots, but length wasn’t the thing breaking them

Work on MusVideo Ai, so this came up while we were testing longer performance shots.

Anyone who has burned credits on AI video probably knows this one: the first few seconds look great, then the performer walks, turns their head, and by the end they look like a cousin of the person in the reference photo. At that point, “just regenerate it” isn’t a very satisfying answer.

Because our scenes can run up to 30 seconds, we were close to adding a simple warning whenever someone chose a longer shot. Longer scene, higher risk. Easy to understand.

Except our early tests didn’t behave that neatly.

At roughly the same duration, a mostly still performer with a slow camera push stayed fairly consistent. Walking with a locked camera was still manageable. Once the performer was walking, turning their head, and moving with the camera, identity drift became much more noticeable.

The results are still early and different models may behave differently, but now a blanket duration warning feels misleading. It could convince people to shorten a quiet shot while doing nothing to prepare them for a shorter shot with a lot happening in it.

I’m leaning toward a smaller note about stacked subject and camera movement instead of telling everyone that long shots are the problem.

Has anyone here added an early warning to save users money, then realized the warning was teaching them the wrong mental model?

Coming from a gas dirt bike: Light Bee X, Sting R MX4, or Hikeep MAD?

Trying to switch from gas to electric and I keep going in circles between these three.

Most of my riding is outside Phoenix. I haul the bike in a pickup and usually ride 12 to 18 miles on hardpack, loose gravel, washboard, and a few sandy sections. No big jumps or serious rock crawling. I’m also not chasing the highest possible top speed.

The gas bike is fun once it’s off the truck, but everything around a short ride has started to feel excessive. Loading it, carrying fuel, dealing with the engine heat, and cleaning dust out afterward can turn a 90-minute morning ride into half a day.

The Light Bee X was my first choice because parts and owner information seem easy to find. My concern is buying one and immediately feeling like the suspension, brakes, or battery need upgrading.

I started looking at the Sting R MX4 because it appears closer to what I’m used to from a small dirt bike. It may make more sense out of the box, although I’m not sure how easy it would be to get parts or service locally.

The Hikeep MAD is the one I know the least about. I only added it to the list after looking for something with more battery capacity, but most of what I can find comes from sellers rather than long-term owners. The rear hub motor also makes me wonder how it handles deeper sand and long gradual climbs when it’s already hot outside. I don’t want to choose it just because the spec sheet looks good.

At this point, the things I actually care about are whether I can load it into the truck alone, finish a desert loop with a comfortable amount of battery left, and get replacement parts without waiting several weeks.

Has anyone here ridden one of these in loose desert terrain or temperatures above 95°F? What became more important after buying it that you didn’t think about beforehand?
