I’m reading Killer of Men by Christian Cameron and it is excellent and speaks about many of the people, places, landmarks, shrines etc that are shown in the game. I’m 50% of the way through and love it. It’s also highly rated on Goodreads.
I’d love to see an Alone video game.
Can you imagine tho:
Pick your ten items
Pick a “map”
Pick time of year
Pick Random Drop or pick your own location Pick what type of player to be: hunter, fisherman etc
Pick type of shelter to build
Choose to turn on illnesses or not.
Choose to turn on severe weather or not etc.
You want fish? Walk to where you want to catch it, you using a gill net or a pole? If you catch a fish now you have to clean it and either eat/smoke/store it. If you want to smoke the fish you have to gather resources to build a smoker.
Every decision you make costs time and calories. You start out with “x” number of calories and either go up or down based on what you do and what you consume.
I think it would be an amazing game.

Earlier this afternoon I opted out of + and it reverted back. Perfect. Old voice back.
Then I had a daily reminder go off at 6pm and it was the Alexa+ voice. Very strange. To check I asked her the time and it was the original voice.
Anyone else notice that?
