After 6 years, I made it

It started so small, I made a lot of errors, I learnt alot, Godot kept surprise me, and prototype after prototype, iteration after iteration, a game has born: PowerCorp.

It was a challenge to make a space sim with Godot, specially the space scale, vastness, the distance and time.

But the results are here!

Thank you Godot project!

[EDIT] I was not expecting such amount of positive feedback. Thank you all. If you want to keep follow the project I Share here the link to the video on YT channel. Subscribing and comment there would help push this game further! Thanks again

A full epic 3d Space-Sim Game!

I love this engine. I have been making PowerCorp for the last 6 years now, and has been beautiful/exhausting/demanding/rewarding trying to push and bend this engine in order to achieve such ambitious project.
I wonder if somewhere here in the community is/has also working/worked on a similar game genre using godot?? I would love to exchange some insights..

PowerCorp keeps evolving!

This year was the most significant, intense, hard, rewarding and ambitious in this 6-year development Journey.

PowerCorp is approaching this summer its final closed playtest and Demo release in Q4 2026.

This game has been evolving from previous feedback from the community and hard sci-fi fans.

For those space pilots who may find this "Duskers, Delta-v rings of Saturn, KSP" strange combination appealing, please, your feedback matters and may impact the game development!

As soon I get the Falcon.. I felt an unbalance in the Force

The Falcon was the very first Star Wars Lego I have owned and built.. after a week on the shelf I could resist to get a Star Destroyer to balance this... I am afraid what I Will fell next after have these two mounted together...😅

I am New in this community, anyone knows If there are visual references for a scaled MOC for the Falcon alongside this Star Destroyer set? Would be great to have sense of scale here.

PowerCorp a new universe of in depth sci-fi

I miss the old sci fi movies and games.. where the Story and the depth of it was always a passion. That's why I am making my own game, Story and a rich sci-fi universe.

"The year is 2188. You are a M.O.R.S.S pilot (Multi Orbital Reconnaissance Space Ship) returning home from Io moon from a routine space station repair mission. During hypersleep, your ship's autopilot fires a distress protocol, re-routing your Path to a distress comm near the asteroid belt. As protocol dictates, it initiates a forced awakening from hypersleep of the single person on board. When you awake, confused due to the emergency forced awake procedure, you find yourself with a cripple reactor, and several ship systems damaged. What happened? Make what is necessary to reach Earth again, while trying to understand what is happening throughout the entire solar system."

Would you be interested on dive on this?? Thank you all for your time.

PowerCorp - space with realistic destruction at last

PowerCorp is a hard sci-fi survival space sim where Power is everything... and avoid exploding your ship is also important.

New milestone achieved with full implemented the much desired A.M.D. (Advanced Modular Destruction):

  • The ship is a complex structure with layers of different compounds.
  • The A.M.D. now simulates impact forces depending on linear momentum and mass.
  • Collisions now may only do scratches, or they can pierce your ship like laser bullets.
  • The A.M.D. knows what is being damaged. Hit your outer shell? No problem, it can handle. Your core? Careful, ship hull integrity may decrease to critical, and detach in half, causing you to be sucked into deep space. RCS Tanks?? Awesome, explosion incoming and high decompressions, causing your ship hard to control.
  • And more... (hull integrity will affect, Atmosphere, g-force resistance, fuel leakages..)|

The game is till in active development, all the feedback is more than welcome!

Helllo community, first post here.
I found WarSim by accident, and saw a podcast of Huw Millward with Jonas Tyroller. I liked very much the insights and how WarSim was developed.
Specially because I am also a indie (non-professional) game developer, and I was in the process of making a text-based, hacking game when I found WarSim developer.
I have never made a text-based game before, and from an experiment I have created this prototype of a game, and I am now trying to find which genre and which type of players like these type of games. And where to find them 😅

So, may I ask here where should be the best forums to search for a possible player-base for a text-based/hacking/interactive-fiction game?

Thank you so much!

p.s. Huw Millward you are the craziest developer I have ever seen!! Great work with this master piece of game reference in procgen and text based games.
