Character image generation
Idk if im stupid but outside of Visualize I don't see an option for the character to just send images? 😭 Visualize breaks the immersion for me so I want to be able to ask it to send pics then they just send pics...

I have a Clav (635) and while I like the response, the actual feel of the keys and sound aren't quite where I want it to be (classical piano).
If my goal is to mimick the best acoustic piano feel/sound, etc, what in the Clavinova line would feel like the best next step?
Hi everyone!
I'm getting back into game dev (currently doing a beginner bootcamp) and I wanted to know if anyone has seen an UE text/chat-based game tutorial? I'm open to free or paid ones.
The game I want to eventually make is sort of like Simulacra, Sara is missing, etc., so I was looking for anything adjacent I can learn/practice in the mean time. Also, I do know there are other engines that are easier for text-based games, but because this text portion is only a single level outside an otherwise 3d game, UE still seems like the best option...
Would love any tips/direction! Thank you<3
Hi everyone,
Going through a tough period and that I'm deciding to vent here to see if anyone else can relate or have some advice.
So last fall I rejected a full-time lecturing offer, fresh out of grad school with no high ed experience.
Even though it was FT, I'd still consider it closer to adjunct because there was no ser job security, TT or 'professor' title. It was going to be a 6/5 load with $40k ish pay, requiring a move to a dangerously red state. I say dangerous not to bring up any political discussions, but because it's consistently ranked top 3 worst for women, education, life-expectancy and so forth. Additionally, the top school in that state has a history of siding with students over professors in questionable manners.
So all in all, it sounded miserable, or at the very least a huge risk I wasn't sure I would be willing to take. So I declined that offer in favor of an instate 75k job in govt. Great benefits, wfh, all that jazz.
Now, where is the regret and guilt coming from?
I thought the govt job was always meant to be temporary -- I planned to leisurely apply to in-state adjunct positions while having financial stability and hopefully continue to build my academic CV on the side.
Yet, I'm sort of sad because I love teaching higher ed. Genuinely. Yes, it's generally overwork and little appreciation, but the actual day to day -- lesson planning, lectures, helping students, etc -- that's what I'd rather wake up everyday doing.
And the guilt comes from having applied for months on end only to reject the offer once I land it and also knowing many in the adjunct space hope for a FT . It feels like I was asking for too much and should have accepted whatever I was offered.
Not sure if it's a grass is greener thing, but I'm not feeling fulfilled in this job (even though it's right up my ally of helping others) and I find myself longing to teach.
All in all, this rant is just to say, if anyone has rejected an adjunct position and are struggling, even if it was the right decision, I see you.
I want to not give up because I'm not even 30, who knows if I'll land something in the next decade. But right now, I've gotten nothing but rejections and dealing with missing something I loved to do.
Hi everyone!
I'm planning a solo travel trip to Tromsø for a birthday Northen Lights chase. The total trip is 2 weeks Dec 27-Jan 8 and I'm coming from the USA.
Since I have a lot freedom on which countries & cities I stop by, I wanted to ask if there was any specific events or festivals happening during this time that people would think are worth going for. Outside of my Tromsø dates (Jan 2-4), everything else is flexible.
If it's helpful, I'm a mid 20's F, artist and more on the introverted side, but I enjoy exploring and discovering new things, especially outside of my comfort zone.
General Idea of the cadence I'm hoping for:
Dec 27-Jan 1: First country/city, Jetlag adjust, New Years events, explore
Jan 2-Jan 4: Tromso, birthday, Northen Lights chase + adjacent acitivites
Jan 5-Jan 8: Last country/city
Budget: $5k total (flexible)
Breakdown so far:
Total: $3200, which leaves me $1800 for accommodations + activities in surrounding cities and countries. I'm NOT including travel in these costs as I am happy to go over budget to accommodate for that.
Being an artist, I'm a relaxed type of traveler who prefers to walk down a market or seascape, but always in search of something worth seeing that I wouldn't normally see on my side of the world.
Is there anything during this time frame that someone would recommend?
Hi everyone!
This might be random, but I have a solo trip planned for Tromso Dec 28-Jan 9 and I'd love to access a piano (acoustic or electric) during my stay here since I can't seem to guarantee my accommodations will have one (going for AirBnB. I'm okay with paying for access, I'm just not sure where to look.
Does anyone have any leads? Thank you♥
Hi everyone!
Lurker here -- I'm finally booking a trip to Tromso, but since it's during peak season (Dec 28-Jan 9), I'm trying to figure out if there are any options to save a little money.
I'm keeping an eye out on skyscanner + google flights, open to long layovers and any other travel hacks.
My main question is whether there is a destination known for having cheaper flights to Tromso? I'm hoping breaking up the trip could make it more affordable...
Hi everyone! Quick tech question (that has me feeling like a grandma for asking...)
I've been recording my practice sessions via video to improve and while that's convenient, the audio can easily clip because of the default noise gate. However, recording via midi means I lose the video. So I'm reaching out in case anyone has a convenient way they've been recording themselves.
My equipment if helpful:
I'm not opposed to buying anything reasonably priced, just mainly looking for anything that will be as convenient as putting my phone somewhere and pressing record on the camera.
I'm starting the beginning steps towards purchasing my first home and looking around to get a general idea of the market/decide on a budget.
However, I've come across some listings with HOA fees as high as $3800 for a seeminly normal 1b1b condo (so definitely not luxury). Is there anything that could possibly justify HOA fees that high? Am I missing something?
I've come to terms with HOA fees in general being in the Bay, but anything about $1k/mo feels unnecessary.
Edit: Thank you for the comments everyone -- I've learned a lot indirectly through this absurdity.
Conclusion: It seems to be 'senior housing', so they're justifying the amenities through that. However, the HOA fees get crazier the more sqft you have (2b2b is around $6k...). Either way, now I know what to avoid as I look for a place to live with & retire my dad.
For anyone curious, these are the "villa marin" condos in san rafael.
filling lunch to help save room for dessert! you could probably save more with low cal tortillas but i went with the regular kind.
Recipe:
140 3 tortillas (overestimate, but listed as 45 cal each)
100 72g of salmon - air fried with 0 cal dry rub
20 cal for a handful of kale + onion
40 30g avocado lime crema
0 cal habanero sauce
0 cal sparkling water
I want to incorporate more nachos into my snacks/quick meals, but can only find tortilla chips 130-160 cals for 28g which is a little too high since I'm more of a volume eater.
Does anyone have go to's that could be lower? Any specific brands? Or would the only other option be to make them myself...
Every once in a while, there's just a piece that doesn't quite sound right and it really gnaws me inside, especially when it's repetoire that should be a lot easier.
