[LF] - St. Louis, MO - heaters, filters, plants, tanks, etc

I am looking for heaters, filters (HOB or sponge, I'm not picky), plants of any kind, tanks of all gallons, or anything else you want to get rid of. I'd prefer free/cheap stuff, but I might be able to trade for things, if they're of value to me.

On hand, I have a twenty gallon long, a couple of handfuls of salvinia, and a handful of ramshorns. It's not a lot, I know, but I also have a $84 credit at an aquatics store to spend and trade. They have a ton of species, like guppies, african cichlids, and a lot more.

I'll take virtually anything fish-related, but I am also looking for a 18 by 18 by 24 inch tall tank for a future crested gecko I want.

I just got a five year old male leopard gecko. This is my first reptile ever, and I'm super excited to keep him. I did notice he was overweight, and I went to the weight guide on this subreddit for info, and sure enough, I'm pretty sure he's obese. What kind of diet should I put him on?

The title says it all. I just fed him two crickets with calcium power on them, and he took them straight from me. I have no idea what his diet was with his previous owner, but I do know that the owner said she was feeding him a mealworm and two crickets pretty much every day.

From what I've seen on this sub (correct me if I'm wrong, please), mealworms are high in fat, and should only be fed as treats. I'm concerned that immediately putting him on a diet might starve him, but I'm unsure of how to ease into it. How many crickets should he be fed, and what days of the week should I feed him in order to lose weight?

[LF] - St. Louis, MO - unwanted fish supplies, tanks, plants, etc

Looking for some unwanted fish supplies, tanks (nothing cracked though), or any other fish/reptile related items. I'll take almost anything you don't want, as long as it's not completely unusable.

I might be willing to pay a small amount, or give something, depending on what the item is. I have some stuff, like a five gallon with a light and sponge filter, two small bags of lava rocks, and maybe a few handfuls of duckweed and salvinia minima. I probably have more, but that's just things I can list off the top of my head.

DM me if you're interested. :)

[FS/FT] - St. Louis, MO - $3+ - Salvinia minima - small hornwort clump - ambulia clipping

New-time aquarium hobbyist, all plants are grown and profited on by me only. NO DELIVERY.

Salvinia minima - $3.50 per handful. Kept in a tank with bladder snails and ramshorn snails. Limited, approximately six handfuls left. (Water lettuce not included from first pic)

Ambulia clippings - $3 per clipping. Kept in a tank with ramshorn snails. Approximately three clippings available.

Hornwort clump - $8 total. Kept in a tank with no pests. Approximately three handfuls of it, must buy all.

All plants will be looked through and washed. I can't guarantee they will come with no pest snails, but I will do as good as I can.

I'm looking for other types of aquarium plants to trade in return for a medaka tank. Preferably topwater plants with long roots, like water lettuce, or something that can be planted.

I have a trio of blue dragon guppies, and about 10 - 15 juveniles. I'm worried they're going to die. I'm gonna get Ich X when my local pet store opens in about an hour, and I've lowered the lights. I have no heater for them, so it'll take a bit longer.

I'm a new time hobbyist, and I feel like a horrible fish keeper right now. What should I do now, aside from water changes?

My blue dragon guppy gave birth! I'm a beginner fish hobbyist / breeder, and only meant to keep guppies as pets. I have a trio, and ironically, one came pregnant, and recently had her babies! They've been in the tank for about two and a half weeks.

The tank was originally supposed to be a farming tank. I have guppy grass, val, ambulia, water wysteria, and water lettuce in the tank, so I'm not worried about them being eaten.

I've only seen two so far, but they're probably hiding.

Should the tank get turned into a breeder tank? I assume they're going to have more in the upcoming months.
