Possible to get into British Airways after Integrated training?

Is it possible to get into British Airways after ATPL training at Skyborne, or is that only reserved for the Speedbird Academy people?
And if not, how likely are you to get in after a couple of years at a different airline in the UK?

It feels like everyone is doing the USMLE?

At my university, it seems like everyone is preparing for the USMLE, and that’s coming from someone who studies at a medical school in the UK. When you look online, you see tens of thousands of people taking or preparing for the Steps. Where are all these people realistically going to end up over the next few years? Is the USMLE pathway even sustainable with the number of people entering it, or are we heading towards an even more competitive bottleneck for residency positions? How bad is it going to be?

Going to Egypt to study medicine?

I’m Egyptian and have lived my whole life in the GCC, and I’m considering coming back to Egypt to go to medical school there. It is one of my options, and I’m really considering it. I also have an offer to study Finance at a university in the UK, and I’m struggling to pick between both. Egypt is quite hectic, but I will be a doctor by the end of it which I’m passionate about, but also not willing to die and suffer for it. While the degree in the UK is very expensive, it will be more prestigious, but also I won’t be a doctor, and the job market is quite bad for finance and for international students. What would you choose in my situation? I’m deciding on what each degree can bring the largest ROI

Can you match in the US straight after graduating?

Dropping out

I feel like such a failure

I got my A-level results two days ago and they were much worse than I expected. I studied Biology, Chemistry and Maths and worked really hard for the two years, so I’m struggling to understand how things went so badly.

I absolutely hated the subjects by the end, and now I’m finding it really difficult not to feel like all that time and effort was wasted. My confidence has taken a massive hit and, honestly, I’ve never felt this disappointed in myself before.

I don’t know why a levels determine you whole future. I had plans for university and my future, and suddenly I have no idea what I’m going to do. I don’t know how to move forward from this.

DV lottery

What happened to the DV Lottery? I’m aware of the situation involving one of the immigrants who entered the US through the programme and what happened afterward. But does one individual case really justify shutting down the entire programme?

Thousands of people have immigrated to the US through the Diversity Visa Lottery over the years and gone on to build successful lives, careers, businesses, and communities. It seems unfair to judge an entire programme based on the actions of one person.

I’m just wondering do you think the DV Lottery will ever reopen, or is it likely to be permanently ended at least this year.

How do I move from the UK to the USA?

Hello I’m 18 nearly 19 years old and would love to move to the USA especially to California it’s a dream to live there anyways what would be the best way to move there should I apply to colleges there for next year entry? I’m aware colleges there are expensive but I can afford it but would it be a good option? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Is Medicine the best career to move to the USA?

Every other path seems near impossible unless it’s marriage or lottery and even that is delayed and might get cancelled. The only straight forward path is medicine? You complete medical school sit the USMLE and apply for the Match. It seems like the only straight forward path to move to the USA earn a nice salary and live a good life.

Can I afford to pay my sons tuition

This isn’t the typical university in the UK where tuition is covered by student finance. It’s a private medical university abroad. Tuition is around £32,000 per year, and once living costs are included, the total comes to roughly £40,000 per year. Over four years, that’s approximately £160,000. If I were to pay for it without taking out a loan, it would require setting aside around £3,400 per month.

I’m 51 years old and work as a doctor in the UK. My annual income is usually between £240,000 and £300,000, depending on how much extra NHS work and private work I take on. However, my base salary is around £140,000, with the rest coming from additional hours. To reach those figures, I typically work around 60 hours a week.
Despite the income, my net worth isn’t particularly high because I’ve only been earning at this level for the past seven years. My mortgage also isn’t fully paid off. My take-home pay has averaged around £12,000 per month over the last five months. I currently pay £3,500 per month towards my mortgage on a house worth around £350,000, save approximately £3,400 per month in a high-interest savings account, and the remainder goes towards another mortgage back in my home country and supporting other family members and normal household expenses.
The reason I’m posting is that I’m trying to work out whether funding this degree is actually a sensible financial decision. My biggest concern is that my income depends heavily on working long hours, and my ability to do that relies on staying healthy. Is it realistic to assume I can maintain this workload for another four or five years? Would taking out a 10-year bank loan be a better option, and is it likely I’d even be approved?

My son is a great kid, and I genuinely want to give him the opportunity to study at this university. I’m just trying to decide whether this is a financially responsible decision or whether the cost is simply too great, even on my income.

I made this post on a different Reddit group and got told to come on here instead some
Information I have left out

My son couldn’t get into medical school first time so instead did a different undergraduate degree and is now looking at post grad entry which is insanely competitive hence why he is looking at going abroad to study US I’m aware of the prioritisation rule in the NHS but if everything goes smoothly he should not have to come back.

Husband works every single day

He is definitely a workaholic. He is a medical doctor (50 years old) , and his job allows him to pick up extra shifts on top of his regular 9-5. He might take a day off once a month, but that’s it.

Whenever I try to ask him why he is doing this, he gets angry and irritated and never gives a clear answer. We are not struggling financially. I don’t know why he chooses to do this. He always shows up incredibly tired and drained. I’m worried for his health.

tldr: Husband works every single day of the month. I’m worried for his health.
