Tung oil refresh cure time

I'm wondering about the specifics of refreshing tung oil on a spoon.

Lets say I made a spoon and finished it with tung oil then let it fully cure. The spoon is now around a year old and is looking dull, I reapply some tung oil to refresh it. Do I need to wait the whole 30ish days again for it to fully cure or do refresh coats have different rules?

My first spoon!

The neck ended up a little thin due to a little miss-cut but overall I think it turned out well.

Walnut finished with tung oil

My little router plane

My attempt at a router plane using a veritas blade.

Very rough and a bit wonky. Will need to take what I learnt to make a new one but it works!

Veritas router plane blade notch

I'm wondering if anyone can confirm the size of the notch in the Veritas router planes blades.

I'm looking to make a router plane using these blades and can't seem to find anything on the notch size.

Most important thing i need is the size of the top to bottom of the notch so I can find a screw that fits the gap.

Well this cleaned up beautifully

I've narrowed it down to being manufactured between 1906-1917

Couldn't pass this one up despite knowing nothing about it

Anyone with any info on this disston back saw? Would be greatly appreciated. It has a brass back, is 14 inches and 13 ppi/12 tpi. Can't quite tell if it is rip or cross.

First restored saw!

I made a post last week about a cheap saw, I was wondering if it seemed too far gone for restore. General consensus was it seemed fine so I pulled the trigger and gave it a go!

Turned out wonderful, rust was all surface so it came off nicely and for my first time sharpening a saw, it cuts really well. Thank you all for your input on this, this end result is because of you all.

Is this saw able to be salvaged?

This saw has come up for only $10. I'm wondering if it looks beyond repair to you guys or if it looks like it will clean up well?

Also, any info on this saw? I haven't been able to find much other than it being an Australian Disston.

Timber storage tips

I have to store my wood under my house, which is fully sheltered but has bare ground. Other than making sure it's raised off the ground, what can I do protect my timber?

Hi all

I'm making coasters as a birthday gift and am up to the holder and I'm wondering how you all would connect these arms securely. Base is 150x150x15 arms are about 80mm tall which leave enough space to in set them to the base if best.
