I made a mod where your colony gets a real working market

------------------------------------

Workshop: RimMarket

Hey, this is my new mod RimMarket

When a trade caravan shows up and theres a free stall, they walk in and set up shop in it for a market day instead of waiting outside.
they pay you a stall fee when they arrive and you trade with them the normal way

You can also turn a stall into your own colony stall and sell your stuff to people passing by, at the price you want. From the comms console you can open trade routes with towns, place special orders or post a wanted notice for something you need.
every couple of weeks you can pay for a great fair and get up to six caravans at once.

Also slave auctions, inn beds for the merchants, and thief in the crowd.

Works for medieval or modern colonies, you build the stalls in wood or steel.

-Safe to add mid save. Works with Hospitality, Vanilla Trading Expanded, Medieval Overhaul and a few others, the full list is on the workshop page

[Mod] AGOT - Invitations Filter

Small submod for AGOT. It stops low-ranking AI lords or whatever ranks lords from inviting your character to feasts, hunts, weddings, funerals and the rest.

Two game rules, set when you start a new game:

Minimum host rank

  • Any rank (default)
  • Lords or above (county tier, drops landed knights and single-province lords)
  • High Lords or above (duchy tier, the Dreadfort, Karhold and the like)
  • Lords Paramount or above
  • Iron Throne only
  • Independent rulers only

Liege and family exemption, on by default: your direct liege, close family and spouses always invite you whatever the rank rule says.

Not touched: activities you host, AI to AI invitations, open activities like tournaments, and grand weddings where you are one of the spouses.

Requires AGOT, load it after.

[Mod] RimCourt - the lord holds court and your colonists bring him their problems

Info.

RimCourt is not a crime and punishment mod. Nobody is sentenced here.
Its the lord holding court: your colonists bring him their problems, you decide, and they remember what you decided.

Cases are not invented.
The court reads what your colonists actually remember, so it hears what your colony has lived trough. An insult thrown in front of everyone, a surgeon whose hand slipped, a suitor who wont take no, two heirs over what the dead left behind. 25 kinds of case (more to come)
A quiet colony has little to try, and it tells you so.

Each one comes up on a parchment. Take the lord's seal, stamp the ruling you want, pronounce it. Saying nothing is also an answer, and not one anyone respects.

Verdicts are carried out on screen. Silver changes hands, work orders change, and a man sentenced to the lash is flogged in front of the whole hall by whoever you hand the whip to.

Every ruling builds a name: just, harsh, venal or weak. That name decides who brings what to court, whether strangers travel to be judged by you, and whether some colonist decides the seat should be his instead.
There is a lot more the court does, its up to you to discover it.

Compatibility and Performance

* Safe to add to an existing save.
* Delete the spot before removing the mod from one.
* Harmony is the only dependency.
* Royalty optional

RimToll — you hold the land, the road crosses it, the road pays

Steam: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3775890690

Info.

Vanilla walks travelers, visitors and trade caravans across your map for free. RimToll puts a toll post on that road, and now they stop at it.

Build the “Toll” spot and there you go.
No need for a trade route or anything else, place it wherever you want, and the pawns will go to the nearest one.

No new events are created for the tolls. The mod catches the vanilla groups you already get (the passing through event, visitors, trade caravans) and stops them at your post. You pick a price in the letter.
They pay it, refuse it, or walk right through you if your colony is weak.
The payment happens on screen, one pawn walks to the post and drops the silver.

I intentionally made it just one spot so that everyone can take turns building (see image in the gallery).
There are several extra in-game events, it's up to you to discover them.
Each one has its own switch in the settings.

Compatibility and Performance

  • Safe to add to an existing save.
  • Performance friendly (one patch, no tick scanning)
  • Works with Hospitality, Silk Road
  • No weapons, no armor, no stat changes, so Combat Extended should be fine. Tell me if it is not

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Save-safe, one Harmony patch, nothing running on tick. Toll amounts, ultimatum length, post cost and which group types get tolled are in mod settings.

RimFeast - Invite a noble house to dinner. The Red Wedding is a button.

That button is optional, and honestly it's not what the mod is about. The rest of the time RimFeast is a banquet simulator.

Third one of these. RimJoust was the tourney, RimSiege was the war, this is what happens between two wars.
Same story as the others, it started as a personal mod for my own runs and I ended up putting it up.

The feast

Vanilla parties are colonists standing in a circle around a spot gaining joy, and visitors wander in, stand around, and wander back out. Nothing happens either way.

So you put a feast spot at the head of your hall and send a messenger to a noble house.
A day later a cortege rides in under their banner, the local lord, his knights, his standard bearer. They sit down at your tables, eat your food and drink your mead, and your colonists drop what they're doing and join them.
Someone rises to give a toast every so often. Build a harp and your best artist plays for the guests while they drink.

The evening is judged on what you actually served. Hall beauty, meal quality, whether there was enough of the good stuff to go round, drink, toasts, music.
Six guests and one lavish plate, they notice. A house that thinks highly of you sends its whole court, which sounds flattering until you have to feed nine nobles instead of five.

How the evening ends

  • A good feast raises goodwill. A legendary one leaves silver on your table.
  • They send one of their merchants your way a few days later.
  • A noble might take a liking to one of your colonists and ask for their hand. Say yes and they ride off married, and the house calls you kin.
  • Mead does what mead does. Two guests can come to blows over their cups, and nobody holds it against you.
  • Invite a house that hates you and they might accept for the wrong reasons.
  • Someone will try to salt your table.

And then there's the other button

Same messenger, same gifts, different plan. Once they're seated you pick who dies first, ideally the head of the house, and every fighter you have goes for the rest.

They don't panic and scatter, they draw steel and fight their way to the doors, so bring more than two knives. The instrument in your hall strikes up a certain tune when it starts, which is honestly my favorite part.

Kill enough of them and word travels. That house never breaks bread with you again, they come back for blood, no other house accepts an invitation for a season, and your own colonists carry the shame of it.
The plate armor stays, though.

---

Settings page for the lot, and you can switch any outcome off entirely. Needs RimWorld 1.6 and nothing else, Medieval Overhaul is optional but it's what the mod was built around.

RimSiege - Medieval sieges that actually siege

https://preview.redd.it/0uc5vf0j1vbh1.png?width=1152&format=png&auto=webp&s=562d59d85f709545755b36e6c7e8cbfa0ab3193a

Like RimJoust, this started as a personal mod for my own runs. I never planned to release it, but RimJoust did way better than I expected, so I figured, why keep this one to myself?

The Trailer

>I always found vanilla sieges lame, mortars in a field, that's it.

https://reddit.com/link/1uq5xxg/video/f3tujo4d4vbh1/player

So in RimSiege the enemy actually shows up with a plan.
They camp at a distance (tents, campfire, their house banner), demand a tribute first, and if you refuse they start building siege engines on site.
A battering ram for your gate, or a siege tower that just goes over your walls, the wall stays intact, they climb it one by one and drop on the other side.

Bigger sieges add Medieval Overhaul trebuchets and sappers that blow a second breach in your back wall while the ram hits the front.

https://reddit.com/link/1uq5xxg/video/95utetud4vbh1/player

There's counterplay for everything: the engines need their crew (kill the pushers, the ram stops), everything is wooden so boiling oil works great, you can raid the camp before the engines are finished, steal the trebuchet ammo, or just kill the captain, hides behind two bodyguards and the whole army routs.
They even climb back over the tower to leave, which is honestly my favorite thing to watch.

Composition scales with threat points, small war parties just charge on foot. Settings page if you want to tune the thresholds.

https://reddit.com/link/1uq5xxg/video/ett6vbre4vbh1/player

Needs RimWorld 1.6 and Medieval Overhaul.

Not released yet - I'm polishing the last bugs, should be on the Workshop soon. It works fine on my colonies, but my walls are not your walls: if you want to beta test it before release, drop a comment or DM me and I'll send you an early build. Weird castle layouts especially welcome.

My first mod is live: RimJoust, a medieval jousting tournaments.

I've been chipping away at this for weeks and it's finally up on the Workshop. RimJoust adds proper jousting tournaments to a medieval colony. Very Game of Thrones.

Two mounted knights line up at each end of the lists, charge, and try to knock each other out of the saddle with a lance. Armor and a shield help you stay on, so a well-equipped knight lasts longer. Last one still mounted wins the pass.

https://reddit.com/link/1u4jo36/video/y8om0r40907h1/player

What's in it:

  • Single-elimination tournaments, with a board showing the bracket and a journal of who unhorsed who.
  • Squires: tag a colonist and he drags the downed knights off the lists (and the dead to a separate spot) so the field is clear for the next bout.
  • A crowd gathers in the stands to watch. You can place a lord's seat too, and your most prestigious colonist sits there to open the tournament while the knights line up before him.
  • Guest knights: every now and then a champion from another faction shows up to challenge your knights. You can enter him in the tournament and bet colony silver on the bout.
  • A quintain (training dummy) to practice on without anyone dying.
  • The winner is crowned champion and crowns a Queen of Love and Beauty.
  • It's RimWorld, so a joust can kill someone. There's a slider in the settings for how dangerous you want it.

https://i.redd.it/7wt4g481907h1.gif

It's my first mod so it's a bit rough in places, feedback and bug reports are very welcome.

Needs Giddy-Up 2 (Continued) for the mounting. No DLC required.

(Heads up: a lot of the buildings in the screenshots are from Medieval Overhaul and Camping Tent, not the mod itself. I just used them to build the arena.)
