Would it be disrespectful to leave flowers outside the Islamic center?
I know very little about Islam. I’ve already donated to the center, and I know about the interfaith vigil tonight. I guess I just feel helpless.

This is Amy, the now former monarch chrysalis that I’ve been guarding for the past week.
She emerged about an hour ago and I have been AT ATTENTION 🫡. I left a juicy slice of orange in this aloe she’s been calling home for when her wings dry.
Update: it would appear I have misgendered Amy. Still Amy though.

Oh my god I found my first monarch chrysalis
I ran inside to my husband like a straight reenactment of the fire alarm scene from the office.
I was cleaning out the area where this Aloe usually lives, which is not coincidentally next to where my milkweed is planted and stumbled on this surprise! I’ve since moved the aloe out of the sun behind a massive lily plant and hid the chrysalis behind a couple big leaves.
Any other tips to keeping this precious one safe where it is?
