Danceteria and Bizarre TOOK ME TF OUT

Obviously, there are many other songs I love, but when I tell you Danceteria and Bizarre SLAM DUNKED me the moment I heard them, oh my lord! Maybe it has something to do with the fact that it's 2 am here. Anyway, enjoy this MASTERPIECE of an album.

Madonna's vocals in the preview of Danceteria and One Step Away

Look how beautiful her voice sounds when it's not as overproduced with vocal pitch correction or other effects as it is on Love Sensation. Natural voices are meant to drift here and there, and the rawness is what makes them beautiful. Even the greatest vocalists could not be 100% accurate because it's biologically impossible.

Madonna has had so much potential with her vocals, but she never took that instrument of hers seriously (except for Evita, ROL).

Did you know that the late iconic Ofra Haza (''the Madonna of the Middle East'') influenced the 'Like a Virgin' performance on Blonde Ambition?

Citation from Vincent Paterson's (director and choreographer of Blond Ambition Tour) autobiography:

>I had recently befriended a Yemenite singer named Ofra Haza who had meshed her native Yemenite sound with club music. Ofra had given me her song "Im Nin'alu", which was topping charts all over Europe. It had a hot Middle Eastern sound that was cutting edge in world music. I took it to Madonna. “This is a friend of mine. I want you to listen to this because it’s fantastic, and I have an idea for ‘Like a Virgin’ using this style of arrangement.” She took it home with her that night. She loved the sensual and exotic style.
