Surviving the TWW

I put together this poster board calendar for my two week wait that I feel will help keep my mind occupied! It’s dated for my specific IUI timeline (Trigger June 30, IUI July 2) but can be adjusted to your own personal needs.

I hope this helps someone stay happy and hopeful on their journey! ♥️

IUI #4

Using this post as a pending positive story and a way to document my stats for this cycle. The follicles and sperm count were the best I’ve ever gotten so I am really hopeful! This is cycle 11 for me: IUI #4 and I used Letrozole for ovarian stimulation. Also, this is my first cycle after my hysteroscopy and treating endometritis!

June 29: I had 2 follicles 16 & 19mm at mid cycle check so by the time of my IUI they were approximately 19 & 22mm. (Assuming rate of growth was 1mm per day)

June 30: I triggered 36 hours before my IUI with Ovidrel.

July 2: IUI

Donor sperm post thaw: 15.39 M TMC (54M/ML with 57% motility, .5 ml vial)

I started testing out my trigger this morning, not sure if I’ll test everyday or every other day but I like to see progression photos!

IUI #4 completed!

We just completed our fourth IUI this morning. Looking for TWW buddies to catch up with over these next couple of weeks. After 10 failed attempts, we’ve decided to keep this cycle private from our friends and family so it’ll be nice to have people to talk to!! ♥️

24 vs 36 hour trigger

This is my 4th IUI using frozen donor sperm. My protocol has been the same with my previous 3, triggering 24 hours before IUI. I documented the time frame post IUI that I started feeling what I (believe) are ovulation cramps and it was around 8-12 hours after. All 3 IUIs failed.

I was given the same protocol again this cycle, but I reached out to my clinical team and asked if we could try a 36 hour trigger since 24 hours wasn’t working and I believed that I was ovulating around the time that the donor sperm may have been expiring. They agreed!

I’m excited to try something new! Has anyone had a better outcome with 36 hours than 24?
