I’m a 26 African American female, and I just started looking into hoodoo. I’ve been trying to do my own research, but a lot of it is saying that you’ll learn from others in your family…the elders. My family doesn’t believe in it, and think it’s devil work. I’m buying the book called “Jambalaya” because a lot of people are saying that’s a good book to start with. I guess I really need some guidance for this. I really feel like I’m called to this, and I really want to get into it. I know I need to start by doing a spiritual bath, and cleansing my home. But with the research I’m doing, idk if it’s hoodoo or other. So if anyone is willing to help me with this journey, I would grateful appreciate it 💜
