My dad keeps trying to break no contact

I 19 F cut off my dad a year ago. To make a long story short he’s been in and out of life since I first met him, makes promises he cannot keep, and has an abusive streak against his partners. Recently he has made two attempts to contact me. One through text messages when he a realized he was blocked (after a year) and the other was just today where he randomly invited me to a TikTok live (which was faceless.) I’ve told him I want absolutely no contact but I’m afraid he might show up in person either to my apartmen, job, etc. Is there any way for me to get my dad to respect my decision ?

Just because they criticized your favorite show doesn’t mean they lack media literacy

I was a really big fan of “The Amazing Digital Circus” and was sad to see how the show fell apart (in both writing and its voice actors.) When the finale first came out I saw a lot of ride or die fans defending the show by saying “critics lack media literacy and cannot pick up on subtle hints”. Which yes of course l people missed out on some things ! However there was honestly a lot of plot holes, and a severe lack of character development. Ofcourse the lore side of things were answered after the show ended but they shouldn’t have to be. People don’t lack media literacy because an author forgot to tie up their loose ends in the actual show.

Books that teach African American History

I myself am African American but was only taught very loose versions of slavery, the civil rights movement, and the black renaissance. To put it in to perspective on my lack of knowledge I didn’t know about Malcom X until I got TikTok. Im hoping to find more books on African American history.

Why talk about a person right infront of them ?

The amount of times I’ve had someone make fun of me right in front of me is insane. For example I worked at Ross as a fitting room clerk for a couple years. I had these two older women’s in their 60’s come up to me and compare me to precious. Then spent like a good few minutes laughing in my face. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they took a photo. It shocked me because were do people like this get such the audacity and nerve. Im not going to act like I’m a saint who flew down from the heavens above and have never made fun of somebody. But I also remember my mama immediately wrapping that shit in a bun. And here’s the thing lets take away the moral side of things and how people might feel Do these people not think about the physical consequence. Like I’m big wuss ten times out of ten I’m backing down from any confrontation. But what if I wasn’t ? Genuinely what if I was just looking for a reason to crash out. Growing up I taught the only thing that was physically stopping a person from getting at you is their own free will and restrain. Sure you could get someone like me who’s not going to do anything to you. But unless you know that person its a complete gamble. Crazy thing is these people it’s a gamble ! I just got off work and during one of my breaks a group dudes were talking loudly me (they were pointing at me and describing me to a T that’s how I know.) One of the guys is like “dude stop before she crashes out.” Even though it was clearly a joke they KNOW it’s a possibility. So again why risk it why can’t you just not talk people or at least do it when there not there or not where they can hear you. To me it’s high risk no reward.

I don’t mind the grammar police online.

I really struggle with grammar (my state is has very low education standards.) I seriously didn’t know the difference between there, they’re, and their. I know it’s mostly done out of malice but it’s helped me improve a lot.
