Any Christians who have not actually read the Bible?

by reading the Bible I mean sitting down and reading it like any other book. start at Genesis , finish at Revelation.

doing it piecemeal, out of order, as part of a Bible study, or just randomly reading the section your sermon of the week is on counts as NOT having read the Bible.

What is the etiquette for the front passenger seat in an Uber?

we are a family of 3, and we don’Uber often, just when on vacation. this past week I asked to sit in the front seat, because it is a bit tight for 2 adults and a tall 10 year old in the back seat. I asked to sit in the passenger seat and they didn’t say no, but I feel I was getting a little side eye when the driver had to move a couple of personal belongings. so the rest of the time I just squeezed in the back.

is there an official rule? an unspoken understanding?

Do Muslims believe in the great flood and that Noah was and his family were the only people to survive?

if so, which ones had Gonorrhea? since it is a pathogen that only survives in a human host, therefore since it existed before the Flood, and exists no, one of Noa’s family members would have to be a carrier, or it would not exist today.

For those who believe life starts at fertilization, what goes on with the souls of the unborn?

about 1/2 of all fertilized eggs fail to implant at all, and another large percentage that result in an actual pregnancy end in miscarriage. since none of those souls believed in Jesus should we assume that they all go to hell? do souls develop the same way the physical body doe? can a soul from a blastocyst even be punished? is it capable of feeling, since it was never in a body that developed a brain? do any of them count as dead since they were never born in the first place?

Eating meat increases human well being more than it detracts from it. Therefore in a humanist ethical system it is ethical to eat both farmed and hunted meat.

I acknowledge that meat consumption is not necessary for human thriving in most cases, but I believe it helps, and without the farm industry, people with medical conditions that do require meat consumption would fail to thrive, making farming the moral choice.

discuss.

Is wearing pajamas to go through the drive through ok?

just finished mowing my lawn after work and am really sweatin. I want to shower before I eat because I don’t want to be in uncomfortable, dirty, sweaty clothes while I eat. But I also don’t want to put on clothes after my shower, especially since I will only wear them a few hours before I go to bed.

can you imagine how much blood there would have been? the flies must have been terrible with all the Passover sacrifice? did they have any mechanism for getting rid of all the blood or was the blood just pooling up on the ground pleasing to God?

I went to church camp as a teenager, and it seemed more low key than that. just curious how different denominations and different geographical regions affect the camp experience. so please also share what geographi region the camp was in. also, if it was a different denomination than your flair, please share that as well.

edit: title should read “went” not “want”
