whant t start scoring my first scene in fl, but was quick to realize that the stock video player is only limited to 35 second clips, anything longer you would need to drop 100 dollars to get (wich may i add is one of the cheapest, most blatant cash grabs ever), and I am not spending 100 dollars just so i can score a 3 minute long short film. so does anyone know where i can get a free and reliable video player for my daw, maybye even something that lets my extract the audio file from the video directly?

i really what to start practicing film scoring, and ive already checked out the cue tube for some videos but i dont really whant to spend any money on my first ever score, and the two free videos on there didnt really look like they would be fun to score so im asking here if anyone knows where i can find a big library of free scenes to practice scoring.

Been using spitfire originals epic series for a while now but i whant to move onto something that has individual instruments rather than one big piano roll. Anyone have any recommendations that arent crazy expensive?

Made this weapon and it seems pretty cool and had the damage to match it and over noticed it occasionally like flashes the screen. I remeber reading something that said it only activates when I hit something 300 or more feet away but I dont think thats true. Anyone know how it avtially works?

What to start ready societal focused philosophy, already picked up platos republic, and think about getting leviathan. Any other suggestions, maybye something more entrance level too. I havent spent a ton of time studying philosophy

Been playing it with my freind and it has been one of the worst things ever to fight almost any boss. As soon as the boss spawns in im essentially frozen in place and sometimes onky see a new image after like 2 seconds, its stupid and just a horrible experience. If turned off every single graphics setting in the client config and the video settings but dosent help at all, and yes frame skip is on. How can I fix this

Ive been playing piano for a while now, just watching YouTube videos on songs i like, and I have little tid bits of songs memorized but not yet a full one so I whant to get on that. I really love the romantic era of music specifically rachmaninov and his second concerto so if there's any good song from the romantic era or better yet similair to rachs piano concerto no 2 that would be absouloutly amazing.

This might be a niche question but im trying to make a cello and piano concerto in the style of rachmaninoff specifically. Im having a hard time making a good melodies that is reminiscent of other melodies from that era. If anyone has ever tried this and succeeded please tell me anything you learned

Don't really know anywhere else to post this so im doing it here. I see more and more on social media And almost battle between the arts and sciences. I just saw a video saying that history and english smart students are just as important to society as math and science smart people. All the comments where disagreeing with that statement in some of the most disappointing ways ever. I think this says a ton about our society and how bitter and horrible it is. Seeing that sort of stuff really makes me loath for the future. Why do we see certain people as essentially useful to society? I think those people are blind, ignorant, and to be honest stupid. I whant to know what you think, are we are s a society supposed to hold the sciences abive everything and firearm everything else as pointless and useless?
