I rewatched Gem's episode 2 and wondered where Grian's iconic Minecraft skin came from.
We know about Mumbo's, but what about Grian's? I missed the info.
We know about Mumbo's, but what about Grian's? I missed the info.
Since most of you talk about the characters, almost never about the motives.
Chiba is a cheerful girl who loves to have fun. She also has great respect for Hama and cares about everyone. Ah... I wish the Tiger Trio could be developed more, just like I hope the Mahjong Trio can be.
I bet she was supposed to be a source of hope for the group who always helps them feel better, like Denden in Blue chapter 4. She always put on a smile so no one would realize she was scared and suffered. As someone who wanted to act more mature, Chiba learned to give justice to the victims but still tried to understand their culprit. I wish Chiba was also more assertive and angry at Hiroaki's behavior, especially when it came to Tamba. Because someone said Harada and Hama were the ones who were suited to interact more with Monomoko, of course Chiba shouldn't be left behind. She would love the rabbit so much if she saw the good things about her.
Another thing I can add about Chiba is her backstory regarding her career as a child actress and her relationship with her mother. I feel like the Tiger Trio is family to her, and I hope she tells Hama and Harada more about it. However, she could become a victim because she's quite famous, with that she is determined to grow stronger.
That's all I can give about Chiba, but how do you treat her in your rewrite?
In my opinion, if she survives, the dream of "Stop the killing game" will be handed over to her. As the student council president, Sasaki actually managed her group well and was careful in choosing who she could trust, like Yanagi. I wonder how she would respond and beat Hiroaki when he mocked her due to her backstory, she was under a lot of pressure after all.
Maybe if she had lived longer and not been a murderer, she could have led the trial better. She also started to open up about her feelings for her group, so she could get their help without having to be asked. She might grow feelings for Yanagi or Ojima, judging by how they respect her.
But what do you think about her and how would you rewrite her to be a survivor?
The only comment from the original creator that I can accept is that if Tsuno knew what Okazaki did in Chapter 3, she would beat her up like a b!tchy.
If Yokoi is "The potential girl", then Tsuno is "The potential woman". She truly lived up to the "a kind and sweet hero who dreams of protecting everyone, ends up feeling like they failed everyone" arc. Tsuno could realize that kindness wasn't enough and sometimes "evil" actions are necessary for the safety of others or herself. Among the Ramen Trio, I saw Tsuno as a fitting survivor. Imagine her returning to the public after the killing game, only to declare her retirement as a superhero and disappear. She realized she didn't have enough power. She just wanted to grieve and remember her good times with Isono and Wada.
She could be a mirror for Yokoi, I want them to help each other as much as they can to overcome their guilt.
I know Tsuno's arc isn't finished yet, so how did you rewrite her?
I can really see Hama having a survivor vibes. Despite his appearance, he's actually very sincere and caring, especially towards Chiba and Harada, so I hope he can keep the memory of the Tiger Trio alive. His talent (demonologist) really has great potential to explore Monomoko's nature and The Plane. His relationship with Tsuno and Wada should be developed, and I'd love to see him try to resolve the conflict between Hiroaki and Tamba.
How do you make him a survivor, for example if he manages to stop Watari from committing suicide?
Since I want something that is not Kaimon and Diaeva.
I guarantee it will be funnier and more irregular than >!The Spanners!<
You know, I actually didn't want to ask this, because Kumada and Ikeda have been discussed a lot. But I saw a rewrite that Ikeda as a survivor could actually work.
Imagine, he had a sincere relationship and treated that person well, so they helped him not to be taken back to Kobe and live with them after the killing game. I wanted to see him overcome his OSDD and discover that Kumada loves painting and teaching her. I wanted them to reflect on each other through their behavior and past. At the very least, I wanted Ikeda to realize that Tei saw him as a purpose, not a person.
If only he became a willing and secretly caring person, and was finally able to stand up to his father, that would be cool to see. But how do you rewrite him and make him a serving survivor?
We should have learned more about her backstory, her talents, and her gang. She should have been a leader who contrasted with Yokoi. We should have shown her mourning the deaths of Nishiguchi and Yaitabashi. She should have learned she deserved to exist and corrected her mistakes.
So, how did you rewrite her, and how did you put her in action?
Just imagine this:
The game finally ended, Yonekura and Kan died, and the scientists suffered the consequences. The rabbit planned to end her life due to her inability to control her powers.
Some Pinklings and Bluedents are still fallen and some of them keep moving to new lives and get help. Some managed to get better and some didn't. But that doesn't matter, because that's life. It's shitty, awful, and unstable.
Now, it's up to the rabbit to choose:
Then the rabbit realized, it was that easy! She can choose her life. Maybe she doesn't need to throw away the past to be better, maybe she can still see the good things of the humanity. Maybe she can love herself!
The rabbit heard the voices of Pinklings and Bluedents telling her the meaning of life, even though it was full of trauma and survival, and she slowly understood everything. In the end, the rabbit decided to continue existing.
She saw everyone looking at her with joy, relief, and pride. Then they said:
"Congratulations, Monomoko." 👏👏👏
Yeah, it seems like that ending sounds better for trilogy than what V*n wrote.
Of course, besides Yaitabashi.
Honestly, I didn't expect many people to take the lead during the specific trial, like Kamimura, Hasegawa, Sasaki, and Okazaki.
But besides them, who else is suitable?
At the beginning of the story, Yokoi just wanted everything organized, so she acted like a leader, which she really couldn't be. With Ouno's death, I thought she was starting to get serious about being a true leader for the group. Not only sacrificing oneself so that students do not receive punishment, but also having high morals, open-minded and full of self-reflection.
She did the Trial Conclusion will be very rewarding for her character where she chooses the safety of her friends before herself, and they will increasingly trust her as a friendly and trustworthy leader.
She also thought she could make everything better as before thanks to her efforts, which is what made me feel her survivor guilt even more felt by the audience.
Because there was a rewrite that allowed him to survive, but Maekawa died. It's said he imitated her blunt and rude nature because he wanted to be as strong as her.
Not only that, most of you are upset that Shishikura became a killer because it doesn't fit his character, but somehow there were a lot of rewrites that made him a killer.
He was initially portrayed as a moral man, but he was physically very weak. So I felt that he was not ready to be a survivor, nor do we know what specific things await him in the outside world.
Not to mention, I feel like 27 surgeries is too much and makes it even more implausible how he became a yukigassen player. How do you rewrite him?
Because I don't see any survivor vibes from him. All he wants is to not die. Beyond that, he has no other needs in the outside world, unlike Matthias, who will receive police assistance due to his backstory.
He's actually quite smart, but he was indifferent during the trial. He had the chance to prove Okazaki wrong, by choosing his own life or someone else's.
While his motive are understandable, his victim and the way he killed Matthias are completely beyond reason. Therefore, how would you rewrite him?
I honestly regret getting Hermitcraft involved in this mess, but I can't stop imagining the first moment Hirose, who wanted to be seen as smart, talented and mature, was instead called "Baby face", and made him experience an identity "short circuited brain and inner mental, holding back anger and tears" crisis, like this scene.
Imagine during the killing game, she started to behave not like a mother, but a teenager in general, after daring to interact with the students. Ouno taught Yokoi how to be a good mother, which made her forming a happy family with Tei and Ikeda more plausible. Ouno could have been the one to teach Kumada and Ikeda to be good children, and punish them sternly if they were naughty, a kind of replacement for Nishiguchi and Yaitabashi/Tei.
And about the cult, if that plot point still happens, Ouno will become a cult leader, which makes perfect sense given her experience with it. She could recruit someone to help find an alternative route and she could return home to Maria. But now she must choose who to prioritize: her daughter or the strangers who have become her friends.
So how do you rewrite her as a survivor?
Imagine, on his birthday, he is shocked by his worst fears, such as Ogura's bloody death. This is where his journey begins, as he becomes more cautious and self-aware. Maybe he could help Hirose or start hanging out with Tei. I feel like he, besides Yaitabashi, is the one who's really annoyed with Ikeda but still wants to help him.
I think his arc about finding a new family, he will fit perfectly in his interactions with Denden, who feels he destroyed his family.
As for you, how do you put him into action and become a survivor, and how do you utilize his talents.
Fun fact: Hirose's VA and Kumada's VA chose Ogura as one of the survivors when asked who should have survived.
While I don't mind her being the culprit in Chapter 2, Ogura is one of those characters whose potential is wasted. Chapter 2 should have been her stage to tell some plot points, such as magic, sacrifice, divinity, and what must be risked for the greater good. I want clear reasons why she targeted Nishiguchi instead of Yaitabashi. Maybe because she is paranoid about Nishiguchi regarding her backstory, or something like that.
Even if she survives, she could have the opportunity to interact with girls like Kumada, Denden, and Maekawa. She could be the one to help Kumada correct her mistakes and purify herself, or be a shoulder for Denden to talk to when her mental state is low, and Maekawa for their shared technological abilities. Maekawa could be a bridge between Ogura and Monomoko, and she could research the rabbit's powers. She could be a student who senses supernatural elements better than Tei. Her relationship with Ninomiya could also be explored when it comes to Matthias. Her overprotective nature contrasts with Ninomiya's willingness to do anything to survive.
But if it were you, how would you rewrite her, especially if Matthias and Akiba didn't survive?
