Can you tolerate coffee?

I used to drink a LOT of coffee. Now as I have gotten older, my pots symptoms have increased and they seem at the worst lately. I am really struggling with morning symptoms. About 9 years ago I could drink 3 cups of coffee a day. Now, I can barely drink half a cup without it making me feel crazy (tachycardia / palpitations). Please share your experiences

Looking for easy to listen to, sort of trashy, romance novels in audio books

I'm looking for some easy to listen to romance novels for audio book recommendations. I find narrators can be really hit or miss so bonus point if the voice actor is good.

I really liked Rebel Blue Ranch Series

I find Abby Jimenez's books are easy to listen too though I would categorize them as a fast food type of novel

I have listen to some of Emily Henry's and like them but do find they can be slow

First time home buyer, home insurance questions

Looking at houses as a first time home buyer and chatting to lots of different people about what they pay for home insurance. I've heard people say they're paying as little as 40/month in a bundle to around $150. The quotes we've gotten online (mainly from TD) for houses we have looked at have been up to 300 to 400$. This seems insane. However some of the houses have been bigger (2000-2400sq ft). Am I missing something? Why do the quotes seem so high? Any tips or insights for an inexperienced buyer? Factoring in monthly insurance and property taxes can make or break affordability in a mortgage

How much can you expect to budget for woodstove or insert installation to a pre existing fire place?

First time home buyer. My non negotiable is having a woodstove. We are looking at a place with a fireplace. I know the answer to this could vary widely based on many factors, but what type of numbers should I be anticipating?

Have you ever heard of a heating pad causing a fire?

My table warmer looks like it is causing damage to my table underneath. Should I be concerned about it smoldering? I have heard of this happening to sheets in the dryer that have oil on them. I don't know how to attach a file unfortunately

Can anyone recommend an AC unit for a small space?

I have a really small room and looking to add a small AC unit. I have a window. I was told a window unit might be overkill but a stand up one might be good. Any suggestions? The reviews on different units can be really bad so looking to get some trusted referrals

Large amounts of CRA debt

I worked as a contractor at a business and they owe me over 10K. I have found out that apparently they owe CRA a large amount of money. If I sue thru small claims, will CRA take precedence over me?

What if they declare bankruptcy?

It seems if they hold large amounts of debit to other large creditors, I don't stand much of a chance to be paid

Owing CRA large amounts of money

If someone owes the CRA large amounts of money, and they are also being pursued legally by indivuals, what debt gets paid first?

Details: my previous employer owes the CRA a significant amount of money and they owe me money for unpaid wages. I want to take them to small claims court, but I am wondering if CRA balance will take precedence

Small claims court in Nova Scotia

Does anyone know if you have to personally give the court order to the defendant? The small claims court forms say " serve the defendant with a copy of the Notice of Claim form by personal service".

Planning a price raise, have some questions

I started working for myself in December 2025. Unfortunately right now I am projected to make the same amount of money as my last position working for someone else with a lot less responsibility. I am doing slightly less hands on, but overall more hours, more admin, more responsibility. I feel strongly I want to raise as I feel that is part of the motivation to work for yourself, with more hours, responsibility and risk should come more income.

I also feel strongly to raise because I am low compared to the market. I am usually also booked several weeks in advance.

Questions:

$5 or $10 raise?

And mainly, do you explain why you are doing a raise? (Rising operational costs, industry standards, etc)...I haven't done a raise since September 2024. I plan to raise September 2026. So by this time it will be two years.

Whats your preferred amount time for people to come to massage? I notice some MTs request not to come aby earlier than 5 minutes before. Do you start someone a few minutes before their appointment time or right on time? Depending on your answer do they always get a full hr?
