Remix! Thoughts compared to last year?

Sold quite a bit. Had to move tier tables and the Halloween isle was now setup. I think this year they gave more thought to Halloween because last year they REALLY tried to get away with complete garbage (if you won’t say it I WILL). This year the two collections can be used to decorate together and not be weirdly clashing. They actually played out the tape and thought long term to drive sales 😆. Pieces are much better quality and reasonably priced with a few exceptions (they have to try right?). Last year’s FALL/THANKSGIVING collection was WAY over priced and horribly noticeably cheaply made. It was obvious and embarrassing. Stickers poorly suck with price changes and less than I would expect ordering from Temu. Proud they honestly tried??? I need your feelings… I bought more myself and they might even make it a few Halloweens and I didn’t feel ripped off doing it. W

Hand pain. How do I tell my job I can no longer do my job - from my job?

I’ve been doing this job for almost two years. I love working freight but I have very small hands. The boxes with glue on them require a LOT of force for me to get open. I have such awful pain in my right hand now that I dread going to work because of the pain and frustration of not being able to do anything I normally do. I try to use my left whenever possible but most of the time I need both hands. I mean I can’t open boxes, grab items and bagging them without serious pain. Our store has been running a skeleton crew (IF THAT) and that means calling off is not an option. I no longer can ignore it but I don’t know what to do. I am depressed every day because I know I’m going to have to “power thru” and I just physically can’t anymore. I don’t know how or what to tell my boss in this situation. Help.

WHY? why? WHY?

Why do people go to a store, pick out a cart full of items from all over the store, watch me scan and bag them all and then act surprised when I ask them for payment? While you waited in line might be a good time to get your money ready or heck even BEFORE you leave the house might be a good idea. I can’t stand people constantly coming to the register that tell me, “I have no idea how much is on this card.” Yet you gathered a whole basket of stuff and have no idea your budget if ANY. I don’t even mind the ones who use 5 different payment methods. CALL YOUR CARD BEFORE YOU SHOP. Stop wasting everyone’s time and my energy like it doesn’t matter.

Summer-ween?

This took a good hour just to get all these little boxes open and unwrapped from all the packaging. Still had several broken items. Big loss of time. The price point and design is definitely cute. I love the ghost claw machines - I wish they were posters.

I brought a home staying by terrible neighbors. What now?

I moved here 6 years ago and they haven’t changed. They throw a party every weekend. it’s 6 adults and 1 child. The matriarch the mom thinks my house is her extension so when she has parties she has guests block my driveway. When I work nights have them park in my driveway. Her grandson was selling drugs in front of my place to not make their house hot. He ended getting killed. This past weekend they had their guests park in front of my house and their child ran into my car with their power wheel and put a small dent in it.

I call the cops, HOA and nothing gets done.

Their landlord is a mega company and hard to get a touch of. I love my house but hate them as neighbit’s. Apparently all the other neighbors hate them too but it doesn’t bother them because they don’t live next door to them.

Customer wants to use the $5 off coupon but they also added the $3 off coupon… the system automatically takes the $3 off but the customer has no way to remove the coupon… can’t price adjust and tired of getting screamed at about $2 for me and my staff!!!
