My DIY Iontophoresis Guide.

Things needed

  1. Battery - I use 9V battery which can be connected together like lego pieces. I bought Amazon Basics 8pcs (Rs 91/pcs) Link . Very Reliable - in offline stores, cheaper brands available but doesn't last long.

  2. Alligator Clip - You just need 1 pair. I bought this Link . It has 5 pair (Rs 17/pair). Dont need all of them. It does the job. Any Alligator clip works.

  3. For the Tray - Just use any stainless steel tray - I bought my tray for Rs 150 each in a nearby store. There's plenty of it available online (For the size - my baking tray which is 12x9 inch can perfectly fit my feet) so anything which fits your foot without touching the sides is good enough.

It doesnt have to be perfect - Mine is round and i thought its stainless its prolly not (But it still does the job super well).

Another option is aluminium tray but Stainless is better. (To make it more cheaper you can use Aluminium foil they use it restaurant/baking but you need to replace that every few sessions as it can corrode faster. Stainless steel is much better choice so please just stick with it.

  1. Towel/Old Clothes so when you dip your hand in the tray you arent directly in contact with the tray. I literally use my old hand towel lying in our store room so anything is fine even old clothes is fine too.

  2. Vaseline (Petroleum Jelly) - When you have cuts in your hands or feet it stings when you do iontophoresis so apply a thick layer over it so you wont feel anything. I bought the 10rs Vaseline - it last very long.

Once you acquire everything - You dont even need amazon - Even Zepto/Your neighbour store will have these items in India.

The Setup - Process

Hands - For me it sweats only on palms, I just put enough tap water which cover till my palm. In the water add salt/baking soda (Just a pinch) so it can be more effective. I use 2x 9V = 18V for hands its perfect for me.

Connect the setup like in the picture and slowly put your hands in it. You will feel the electricity but it gets better. It feels like tiny sting not painful at all. Usually for me I do 20 mins total on hands. After 10 mins I change polarity that means - I exchange the wire - if black wire is in tray A, then i unclip both the wire from the tray and put the black wire on tray B.

When it reaches near end sometimes it gets itchy like a mosquito bite but its tolerable.

Feet - I have thick soles so I dont really feel a thing with 18v so I use 27V that is 3x9V. In feet I do it longer too 30 mins. 15 mins and changing polarity.

TIPS/ADVICE.

  1. When you set up place your hands and feet slowly from the tip so you dont really experience a short shock - Its nothing big. Like youll get used to it. The same for when you wanna remove your hands/leg - dont remove one hand, remove them at the same time slowly. I mean even if you dont its nothing painful - I let my 10 yo brother try it (Removing or placing one hand at a time)- he says it feels funny and laugh thats how i can explain.

  2. Gemini is my best friend on how to setup - what to expect. I do this everyday for the first two week (Some might need only 7 days). On day 5 - I sweat more than normal but on day 10 I had much better relief. On day 14 - it complete stops.

Now I do maintenance of 2x every week in the next 3 weeks and 1x every week after that. Find what works for you - everybody is different.

  1. Dont forget to add salt/baking soda for better conductivity and efficiency.

  2. I dont need to remind you about vaseline coz without it - you cut stings. You wont be able to tolerate it in the first place.

  3. I use seperate battery for both hands and feet so when it depletes I can know it easier. Much recommended. So in total I use 5 (But these amazon ones last very long. It lasted me 2 month (It includes all the initial everyday session. And the next 5 will last me I dont know a year or something coz its just maintenance now. I bought 45 rs 9V batteries in my neighbour store - the amazon lasted longer. You dont need those costly duracell and stuffs.

  4. Oh lastly - dont let the tray touch each other and none of your skin should be touching the tray. Dont forget to change polarity.

  5. No need to buy that Indetouch 10k machine on amazon this setup will work just as effective.

Happy to answer any questions.

MVP of the Week is Fan vote

Yaprak is an exceptional player and its one of my fav turkish player but MVP of the week? Against Martin, Van Ryk, Julia etc.

Yaprak is amazing athlete but performance wise she is definitely not the MVP of the week when the stats showed that she is far from top. No wonder this is voted by fans. I'm guessing we will see MVP almost either Brazil or Turkey every time as they have the largest passionate fanbase.
