obsidian holds my notes but not the stuff around them. how do you handle that?

i keep my notes well organized and linked in obsidian. but when im working i also have chrome tabs, claude, pdfs open at the same time.
when i step away and come back, the notes are still in obsidian but i cant remember which tabs and apps i had open with them. workspaces help inside obsidian but they dont cross app boundaries. how do you all handle the stuff outside obsidian, or do you just cram it all in?

how do you get back into it after stepping away?

i work across a bunch of stuff at once. code, chrome tabs, notion, claude, whatever.
the second i step away, lunch or whatever, i come back and the whole thing is just gone. apps are all still open but i cant remember what i was even doing or which tabs mattered.
single apps have history but nothing tracks where i was across all of them.
how do you guys deal with this? do you leave notes or just rebuild it from scratch every time

how do you get back into your flow after stepping away?

work across notion, chrome, claude, messenger all at once.
step away for lunch and i forget what i was even in the middle of. apps are all still open but i cant remember which tabs or where i left off.
single apps have recents/history but nothing tracks the state across all of them.
how do you guys handle this?

notion links my pages but not my other apps. how do you deal with this?

i use notion as my main thing. all my pages linked in the toc so jumping around inside notion is easy.

but i dont just have notion open right? its notion + a bunch of chrome tabs, messenger pinging me, claude running, all at once.

then i step away for lunch and that whole setup is just gone. the notion pages are still there but i cant remember which tabs i had or what i was in the middle of, so i start over.

notion only connects stuff inside notion. it cant reach the other apps i use next to it.

how do you guys handle this? just paste urls into notion or do you use something else?

Since my research materials get scattered every time, how do you keep them all in one place?

I'm in my first year of an MBA program in Korea.
When I'm looking for a thesis topic, I do a lot of research.
I have multiple papers open in separate tabs, and I also keep an eye on research trends.
So I always have a lot of tabs open.
The hardest part is when I come back to my desk after eating.
I have to reopen all those tabs one by one from scratch.
How do you guys keep all this scattered information and research topics organized in one place?
