Can akathisia from abilify go away on its own?

How long did it take to help your mood?

Does akathisia from starting abilify go away or lessen with time?

How long does abilify take to work (for you?) I’m on my third day and don’t feel anything yet

How long did it take you to find your med cocktail so that you are stable? its been 6-7 months for me and even though I’m slowly inching towards better, I’m still depressed and anhedonic. Then I get even more sad bc I miss the life I had before my episode and I feel like I’ll never be happy again.

I’m going to ask my dr about switching from risperidone to low dose abilify since I feel very flat and unmotivated but does anyone have good stories???

I have anhedonia and am going to ask my doc about it. He was reluctant in the past due to abilify’s potential to worsen anxiety.

Does anyone feel worse before better on Luvox? just finished week one and feeling a little panicky. Also did a direct switch from lexapro.

My dose was increased to 600 mg and my depression is gone! Within days it disappeared! however i still have some anxiety and I have noooo motivation. Like I don’t even want to get out of bed. I’ve had this issue for months but it’s a little worse now. Now it could be because I also started Luvox so I had to give up caffeine. (So drowsy 😴 ) but IF the motivation is from lithium does this go away?

Anyone take this for anxiety and ocd and have good results? I haven’t had good results on lexapro. Just started Luvox.

I’m on 20 mg lexapro and mood stabilizers/an antipsychotic but I am depressed and anxious. Would cutting back on the lexapro actually be more helpful?

I’ve been on for 2.5 weeks with little improvement. Still depressed and anxious (bp2)

And did it pull you out of a depressive episode?

Week and a half on it and I’m now a little more depressed than I was.

Which AP do you think is the best for depression and maybe anxiety? I’m on risperidone which really helped my terrible anxiety at the time, but I’m really depressed. Dr thinks abilify has the potential to make my anxiety worse. Was reading good things about latuda.

I also just started lithium.

Just started lithium last week, but I am sooo sleepy during the day. I do take it at night and am only prescribed 300 mg. However, my lithium levels were 1!! (Not .1, but 1). I am hydrated and my kidney function is really good.

But yeah does it get better?

Recently diagnosed and trying to find my cocktail.

I felt better after each dose increase (ever so slightly) after a week and a half- 25 mg and 50 mg. So I’d have a few days of feeling better before increasing. I’ve been on 100 mg for 3 weeks and haven’t hit that “feeling better” moment.. in fact I feel a little worse. When did you feel better on each dose? Can it just take several weeks?
