In order to get the discount, does the email used for the account needs to be the same as the one used for university or can be different?
I read it is only for new users, but it means people that never have a pairs subscription or that you creat a new account directly paying the student price?
Now that got the update 2.0 and seems much better, I would like tot ry it for coding, but I saw that still there aren't CLI tools for it (or I am not seeing).
Is there any way to use it better than:
Like, possible to give local path or something similar?

So che dai T&C c’è espressamente scritto che non vale l'acquisto di voucher. Leggo pero tantissime persone, sia con Oro che Platino, che hanno acquistato voucher e sembra che i 50 euro bonus siano stati erogati a tutti (dai commenti letti).
Qualcuno ha per caso qualche info aggiuntiva? Esempio, se ce differenza tra Vivaticket o TicketOne? (nel caso, se uno dei due da meno problemi); oppure se invece recentemente gente ha provato e questa cosa non funziona piu?

Hi all, I am testing it on the free version, so if that's already the problem, I think that's it.
But from what I have understood, the model and power it is the same on both free and Pro, only difference is the limit (which I have not hit).
I am comparing it to ChatGPT. I am using the latest GTP v5.5 and I play a lot with the "Instant, Thinking and Pro" levels, and everyone with "Normal and Extended".
The more I go "up", the more it takes to answer and, generally speaking, the better the answer.
Going from the "Instant", taking few seconds at most, to the Pro set to Extended, that once took almost 20 minutes on a single answer.
That said, Mistral always answer in seconds, like 2-4s on average, never saw it more than 10s I think.
I tried using both "Chat" and "Work" option. I also tried using the "deep-research" skill. In any case, always got pretty fast answers.
Now, I am not asking this because I like waiting 20 minutes for an answer. Obviously, if Mistral could answer the same in just 5s, well, the better! Problem is, even "easy" troubleshooting answers that ChatGPT get right in like 30-60 seconds of thinking, Mistral get it wrong, but probably not because it is not capable but because it seems forced to answers in few seconds.
Does this make sense?

I also checked some YT videos and I can only find the choice of model when people use CLI interface (or something similar).
But in the Web and App “Vibe” interface, how can I choose it?
The only toggle I see, is that Chat VS Work. Also, read the documentation and not really sure what’s the difference. Like, use Work when I need to edit or analyze document?

Stavo leggendo per bene le polizze della Platino (ma vale per tutte direi), ed una frase ha colto la mia attenzione.
Per “Viaggio” si intende un viaggio fuori del suo Paese di Residenza; oppure un viaggio all’interno del suo Paese di Residenza, a condizione che includa un volo o almeno un pernottamento (anticipatamente prenotato attraverso un intermediario turistico abilitato) purché fuori dal suo domicilio.
Da quello che capisco, se vai all'estero, è sempre inteso come "Viaggio".
In Italia, è inteso come viaggio solo se prenoti tramite un intermediario turistico abilitato. Ho cercato in tutto il PDF, ma non ho trovato riferimenti aggiuntivi.
Dunque, devo interpretare che, se non prenota tipo tramite un agenzia di Viaggio un volo e/o Hotel, in Italia non sono coperto dalle polizze Viaggio?
Se io prenoto quindi un Hotel con Amex, diciamo a Milano, direttamente sul sito dell'Hotel, non sono coperto?
Edit 1: Aggiungo una chiave di lettura. La parentesi, potrebbe essere riferita solo all’Hotel, dato che é anche posta a singolare. Ergo, in Italia, o prendo un Volo, in qualunque maniera; oppure anche solo prenotando un Hotel, ma a quel punto per forza tramite Intermediario Turistico. Ci potrebbero stare?

volevo chiedere un opinione sul quantitativo di soldi extra da investire mensilmente.
Per avere una base, diciamo che:
- Sul c/c tengo fisso una cifra sotto i €5.000
- Su un c/c secondario tengo €500-€1.000 giusto nel caso il primo abbia blocchi temporanei/operazioni di manutenzione.
- Fissato e raggiunto la mia cifra del conto di emergenza Rapportata alla mia vita ad oggi (punto cruciale questo). Diciamo €15.000 a scopo esemplificativo.
- Acquistato obbligazioni per le spese previste (sempre ad oggi).
-Infine, diciamo un PAC DA €500/mese.
La domanda é, quando a fine mese avanzano più soldi del previsto, dove gli mette? ogni volte che invece che €500, mi rimangono magari €700/1000, magari per 13º/14°, bonus, etc… gli mettete tutti nel PAC?
Oppure man man che aumentate risparmio/reddito in modo proporzionale tenete più soldi liquidi tra c/c e fondo emergenza? Es. Risparmio extra €300? €150 PAC e €150 fondo emergenza (per dire).
Lo chiedo perché mi sembra che così, tra virgolette, non mi rimanga mai nulla. Se un domani la mia vita dovesse cambiare, ed Il fondo di emergenza non essere più proporzionato?
Esempi Di grosse spese “improvvise”.
- Se ti sposi? non lo pianifichi troppi anni prima, e devi avere a disposizione da quello che sento €10.000-15.000 nell’arco di un anno diciamo?
- Se ti nasce un figlio? Non sempre è programmato. Lo sai magari con 9 mesi di anticipo, se non meno.
- Fuori dalla sfera personale, se cambio lavoro e malauguratamente mi lasciano a casa nel periodo di prova? o voglio andare all’estero quindi con necessità di varie spese extra imminenti?
Insomma, se tutti i miei risparmi “extra”, vanno nel PAC, non potrebbe essere “rischioso”? Se tutto va bene ed i mercati crescono/sono stabili, o anche se proprio perdono qualche punto percentuale, vabbè, venderò da lì.
Ma se siamo nel mezzo di una crisi e la somma di Reddito + liquidità c/c + fondo emergenza non basta per una certa decisione, vuole dire rinunciare ad una scelta di vita magari per risparmi extra che si sono investiti?
Magari sembra una domanda stupidita eh, però me lo chiedo perché io per come sono fatto, se mi di un obiettivo (realistico) provo sempre a raggiungerlo. Se dico che investo €500 al mese, proverò ad arrivare ad averne €600 per sicurezza. Non arrivo mai a fine mese con 0, a costo di rinunciare ad uscite o altre cose. Ma se poi investito sempre tutto l’extra che mi rimane, é come che non mi rimanga più nulla sempre tutto mesi, se ha senso per voi quello che sto dicendo.
Just to be clear, I am NOT speaking about image generation or anything.
Simply giving an image file as input.
From browser it gives an error.
From app simply does nothing. I click the image file but I don’t see it in the chat, but without warning.
If I try to select an image from Proton Drive it seems it let me but then I am not sure it is using it.
I am confused….it seems a basic feature to me. What am I missing?
Conceptually, it is awesome. In practice, it is really lacklustre it seems.

Before start using in it, I would like to know if the personal email, the one linked to the account, will stay always hidden, in any case. Or if I should be aware of any leaks.
I am asking this, thinking about the sharing link function in proton drive and the encryption feature of the Mail, both revealing your real address.
